I am so sorry it took all this time to post our Consulate review.
My wife and her child arrived in Bogota on a Monday , had the doctor's appoinment on Wednesday and the most anticipated day, the interview on a Friday.
They arrived at 6AM and were let in at 7AM.
At the line, there are reps from the embassy dividing the lines from tourist visas petitioners and second line for others. She had a sticker that will defirentiate as a K3 visa petitioner. She was called to a window where a lady with not the best attitude ask her for her documents and gave her a negative response about the petition in a way to scare her away.
When she was called for the second time to see another consul she was asked for proof of relationship such as pictures and letters. She did not stay for too long at the interview and was aproved immediately.
The bad thing about this experience was that she had to stay in Bogota until Monday to pick up their passports.

We were interviewed seperately and extensively. They did not issue the visa today. The application was returned to USCIS for further review.

Details on our interview.

Labratory
We had our lab exam on July 3rd. We showed up at 6:20am, lab opens at 7am. Since we were the first ones there and totally super cold. We decided to head to a coffee shop around the corner from the labratory. After I chow down a sandwich and coffee. We return to the lab at 6:40am and already were 5th in line. No problem. The labratory is pretty efficient, very fast. Please note thate they do not allow the USC in. So I had to wait outside. No problem, I went back to the coffee shop to keep warm. I returned to the lab at 7:25 and 5 minutes later Wendy was done with the lab tests and x-rays. So it took under 30 minutes for her to get in and get out. The lab asks for her appt letter, passport and 1 photo. The lab stamps the appt letter and 150 mil pesos. The employees as the lab were friendly, no problems here.

Medical exam
Wendy's medical exam was scheduled for the same day at 9:45am. After the lab we head hom... read complete review

I am writing this in June - 6 mos after interview - finally getting around to it. Showed up early (6:30 AM I believe)- embassy opens at 7AM. Overall very well organized but impersonal process - so many people they herd you around here and there - oh well at least they were efficient. Initially they separated everybody depending on what you were there for. There are a bunch of windows - kind of like a bank. HUGE waiting area/courtyard with food and bathrooms. All the K1's were sent to a certain part of the waiting area. Called us to a window pretty quickly to look at our paperwork - apparently just to make sure everything there and in order. Then we had to wait for 2 or 3 hours for the actual interview. During this time we observed other couples. Most of the women were accompanied by their American fiance/spouse. Sometimes they would speak to the guy, sometimes not. We happened to be sitting for those 2 - 3 hours right in front of the window that we eventually got called to so I'm sure ... read complete review

Most staff encountered were professional and pleasant. The consular officer was respectful, though not particularly pleasant at times. Other than spending a lot of time sitting around waiting, the time actually spent "doing" something with the embassy folks was fairly efficient.
