The doctors report was not ready for the interview and they also needed me to get a stamp on my divorce paperwork from Colombia. Everything was submitted by Dec 9 2021 and still awaiting the review.

Overall a professional and positive experience at the US Embassy for my fiancé’s K-1 visa interview. We arrived at the visa applicant entrance a few minutes before the appointment time and an attendant checked his passport and appointment sticker (which had been placed on his passport at the fingerprint appointment). I double checked that I was allowed in as the US citizen petitioner, and she confirmed that I was. We waited in a line specifically for K-1 visa and immigrant visa applicants (next to us were lines for non-immigrant visas and for US citizen services) for a few minutes. During this time we were given a laminated card that listed the order in which they wanted the applicant to have the documents ready. Fast and easy interview. Had all the necessary documents ready and available. They didn’t ask to see anymore than they already had.

I (the US Citizen petitioner), my wife and stepchildren (beneficiaries) arrived at the embassy at 7am, our interview appointment being for 7:30am. We went to the first checkpoint where a lady was checking people's documents. We went to the next checkpoint (security) around 7:15am, and then proceeded to the courtyard for the next two windows. They asked my wife how we met, what I do for a living, when we were married, and that's pretty much it. They canceled their tourist visas, indicated their CR visas were approved, and we were finished and out the door in 2 hours, from arrival to approval.
The embassy workers and private security were all very professional and attentive. We stayed at the Tryp by Wyndham Bogotá Embajada hotel, and highly recommed it for the quality of the stay, great breakfast (included) and proximity to the Embassy.
