So now apparently GZ is giving out white for approvals now.

Everything went well at GZ during the document intake and interview, only thing is that we were always the last ones on both days. And there was a mix up at the end of the interview. The VO asked the standard questions: ( Not in order)
Where did you meet?
Has he come to visit you?
How many Times?
How did you meet?
Why is your English so good?
Do you have pictures?
Then hands her the approval letter and smiles. Then my fiancée starts to walk away and the VO calls her back and Asks “Are you a CCP?” She says no and the VO says congratulations again. And we get out of there before the VO calls her back again.
But we got approve and that’s all it matters.

Nearly had a heart attack when my wife texted me "Got white paper". Called her and she told me that it says they approved her visa!

"congratulations your visa has been approved...."

Told her to wait two weeks to mail it to her hometown. They can mail almost anywhere in China now.

Her interview was at about 11:10 so she was towards the end of the group I believe.

VO was a lady who is very very friendly.

Questions were:
Describe SO.
When did you meet?
When did you marry?
Did his family attend marriage?
Ans: No but his mom did visit.
Did husband go back to US during his 2 years in China?
Ans: Yes, went back once to US for visa

Looked at pictures, but not the other 400+ pages of docs.

VO said congratulations your visa has been approved. Gave her WHITE paper.

My wife asked, is my visa approved? Confused because she was ... read complete review

Yanzi reported to the Guangzhou Consulate at 12:30 PM on 8-16 to submit paperwork.
It was around 4:00 PM when she actually got to see an officer.
At that time she was asked if she was CCP.
She was asked which language for interview.(She said Chinese)
She was than given a number for the next day's appointment.

She returned the consulate sometime before 7:30 AM on the 8-17.

At about 9:30 AM the interview began.
She was interviewed by a pleasant male officer.

At some point in the interview the officer looked at length at the copies of my passport pages, noting the entry and exit stamps for 5 visits. The officer looked at the picture of Yanzi, her family, and I together. He looked a little at the 30 page logging of phone calls. He paid no attention at all to the emails or the evolution of relationship letter.

She was asked:
What is your husbands name?
Where he works?
What ... read complete review

Mei had a very good interview. I do not have all the details yet as I am in the States.
The Interviewer was a young woman about 28 years of age. There were very few questions. Apparently one of the first questions asked was the name of my daughter. Mei said the name of my daughter and the Consulate officer was impressed. The next question was the age of my daughter. Mei again knew the answer and told the officer my daughters birthdate. Mei then showed a picture of my daughter to the officer. There were a few other exchanges and Mei showed some pictures of my last trip to China when I was making dumplings with her and her mother. The Officer was pleased and said something like congratulations you are approved.
Apparently, Mei was the last to interviewed that day so i do not know if this worked in her favor or if we just prepared very well.
