Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

February 1, 2012 we turned in documents at 1200. February 2, 2012 we queued up at 6:30 a.m. At about 07:45 a.m. a VO came outside and checked appointment letters and passports and if all was well, you got a small piece of paper and went inside to go to the interview room. I waited for my wife in the 3rd floor coffee shop where the all beverages were 49/50RMB.

About 10:30 a.m. she came to me and smiled, I asked if she got it, and she said yes. We celebrated then left for a meal.

The interview lasted but 4-5 minutes, not many questions. Only, when did you and your husband first meet? How did you feel about your husband when you first met him (oh he is handsome). O.k. says the VO, show me some photos. He gives a cursory glimpse at a few photos and gives them back. She believes she had it made when the VO began a sentence, 2 or 3 times with, "When you arrive in the U.S. …." She felt the VO was quite friendly. Does he speak mandarin? (Yes, but not fluently)
Have you ever been abroad? (Yes)
Where? (Thailand, Cambodia) Vacations together.
How many days? (6 each)
Have you ever been to the states? (No)
Do you have any sisters or brothers? (yes)
How many? (4, 3 sisters, one brother)
What does your brother do? (College Professor)
Does your fiance have any children? (Yes, two)
What are their names?
Have you talked to them? (Yes)
Do you have any pictures? (Yes, went over the pictures, in addition to our pictures together, and with her family, etc., we included pictures of "our cats", pictures of our home, etc.)
Are you CCP? (No)

That was ... read complete review

Pleasant experience everything went smoothly other than the long wait time. Few questions were asked. Where did you learn your English? How did you met each other? How many times has he came back to visit you? Have you been to the US? All in all, no hassle. My fiance received her passport with visa on it 1 week after the interview.
