Fiance got the worst interviewing officer the embassy had to offer. All our papers were in order. Went to ACH prior to interview to see if there was anything questionable. Officer indicated everything seemed ok (different officer than interviewing officer). On interview date, interview went ok, but officer asked about Fiancee's two children. Had ALL documentation for both, but officer said that DNA test was required for son. Did not even look at the documents. Had birth certificates, passports everything to prove was her child. Officer did not look at any of it and when Fiancee questioned why they did not look at any of the documentation the VO threatened to have security to come and remove her.

My wife arrived there as almost last in the line. I can see through her QQ mobile phone. The temperature is 88F. She turned in the documents and the Chinese lady ask if I had file taxes with my father. My wife told her that she didn't knew and I haven't said anything about taxes. My wife gotten a appointment for the next day at 0730. My mother in law was knitting at the 3rd Floor, lol.

Called my wife and said she is at the middle of the line. I called her at 0952 and said she had pass. She said the VO is very social guy and only asked two questions. First is how did we meet and second is who is this person's name (my father). He gave her the white paper and took the passport. My wife noted they also speak Taishanese.

8/29 – the document intake day at 12:30 PM. My wife arrived at 10:40 AM. She went directly to the area for immigration to line up – on the left side as described in the review cases on VJ. Some people were already there. Around 11:40, a staff member came. He asked people to form 3 lines. He then checked everyone’s passport and interview letter, and gave each one a green tag. After receiving the tag, she could go inside, through the stairs on the left to the 3rd floor. On the 3rd floor, there was a security guard, who checked the passport and interview letter again and took away the tag. She was then directed to go through a security check point. She needed to surrender her cell phone. The cigarette lighter, water and food should be surrendered as well. And then, she climbed to the 5th floor. Upon entering, a guy gave her a number card. She then sat there waiting to be called. It was 1PM by that time. She was first called to hand in the documents. After returned ... read complete review

My interview was on September 5, 2012. On the document intake day, I went about an hour early before 12.30pm. The line was bearable. There were 2 security checks before going into the consulate office. After the final security check, there was a green shirt staff sitting at the hall way distributing numbers to people. When she saw I was a K1 applicant, she stopped me from going in and asked for my DS-156 and DS-157. She asked me to glue my pictures on the forms. She also asked me to fill in certain information in Chinese characters, but since I was a non-Chinese national, I can't write Chinese and politely told her so. Besides GZ IV unit said I could write everything in English. I proceeded to an empty seat and the long wait began. My number wasn't called till 3 hours later or so. The guy at the window who collected my documents was very pleasant and since I didn't know how to write and read Chinese, he was very concerned that I couldn't deal with the Chinese EMS airway bill receipt. H... read complete review

1. What does your fiance do in US?
2. When did you first met him.
3. How long you been together.
4. What does he do in China (I was living in China for over 6 months, and I do travel back there at lease 2 times a year..I guess this helps?!)

two other very easy questions...

The CO didn't read any of the evidence, pictures letter plane ticket etc...
