Income was not enough apparently, even though I'm sure it is.
Maybe they wanted an I-864 and not an I-864EZ.
CO refused to speak in English, and demanded mandarin.
Asked how we communicate.
Mentioned that he thought our QQ chat record was 'weird.'
Gave us a blue 221(g) Additional documents required.

So far so good... Very nice when I did the DCF I130. I was able to use e-mail to send copies of information or translation of information they needed. My wife said the lady doing her IR1 interview was very nice and helpful with looking and finding all the paperwork the Consulate needed in her packet...

The experience was great, not just because she was approved. Her overall experience with the interview was very good. The visa officer was very nice and was very impressed with her very good english. Asked how she learned to speak english so well. All that was needed was the 134f with the supporting documents and current W2 , Tax Transcript,1040 and intent to marry letter. We also brought all our original 129f supporting documents and current proof of on going relationship. But nothing else was asked to be seen. Some may say thats too much and dont need to bring all that stuff. But i rather have too much than not enough. The U.S. government is not my friend, so sorry i will not leave any room for excuses on their end. We obviously did our homework the first time when preparing our 129 petition. VJ is a good guide to get started, but overall our best guide and experience throughout this process was from the group on QQ. That isn't to say there are not helpful people on VJ, we just h... read complete review

Original interview appt was cancelled due to suspicions of TB in medical exam; we waited 2 months for those to be cleared, then got a September 20 2012 interview. Husband was told in interview that my folks (signing on as additional financial sponsors) had filled out the wrong papers (which was incorrect); he exited the area, got his phone and called me. GOOD TO KNOW: There is a corridor that connects the American Citizen Services section with the visa section in Guangzhou, because they share a bathroom (yay cheap construction!) If you find yourself in such a situation, get your USC spouse to hightail it to the ACS section (you don't need an appointment, make up a reason) and then come through the corridor to meet you in the interview section. I did this and was able to talk to the interviewer (though spouses are officially not allowed in interviews) and we were able to get the issue resolved. Took a couple of hours and a couple of trips through the line, but SO much less expensive & t... read complete review
