Wife's appointment was at 830am. She was back to the hotel by 930am.
There were two zones. The first had someone that spoke Chinese and collected all the documents. The second had the interviewer that spoke English. The interview was super casual. Wife said she was joking with the officer and at the end he didn't say congratulations to her so she congratulated herself. She said that he kept saying "Oh I forgot to ask you this question" and then would ask her another question. He then said you are approved and gave her the approval letter.
Some questions asked (wife didn't remember them all):
Where was your husband born?
Is this your husband (and then showed her a picture)?
Do you have any children? Do you plan on having children?
He didn't ask her if she was a member of the CCP.

My fiancé's appointment was 7:50am on a Monday morning. He went to the embassy at 7 and entered the building about half an hour before his appointment.
Inside the building, they first separated immigrant and nonimmigrant interviewees. There were only about 10 people in my fiancé's group and they all got in an elevator to go upstairs. My fiancé stood near the door, so he was one of the first ones out of the elevator and right at the start of the line. The two people ahead of him were digging around for their apointment confirmation, but he had his ready so he was interviewed right away. His interview was in Chinese.
The officer asked him: 1) How did you guys meet? 2) Have you been to the U.S. before? 3) Did you apply for a U.S. visa before? (my fiancé said he was rejected for a tourist visa the year before). So then the officer asked, Is this your first time applying for an immigrant visa? 4) What language do you two use to communicate? ... read complete review

Visa officer: a white woman
First she asked me to swear to tell nothing but the truth.
Questions:
1,What's your name?
2,Who petitioned you?
3,How did you meet?
4,When was the last time you met him?
5,Has he visited you before?
6,Are you a CCP member?
7,When are you going to get married?
The interview only took 3-5 minutes. The whole process went very smoothly except that I had waited for one and a half hour before the interview lol.

My fiancee (beneficiary) had her interview on a Wednesday morning. When she arrived there were plenty of people ahead of her in line. There was one line at the beginning that included all types of visa applicants, but later on it split into two separate lines for immigrant visas and nonimmigrant. At some point while waiting in the line they checked her Appointment Confirmation page that she printed from USTraveldocs website when she scheduled the interview, and her passport. She was given a paper ticket at this time and then went thought the security checkpoint. Then she proceeded to a different building where she took an elevator to the third floor and presented the ticket to the clerk. They then asked her for her passport and Appointment Confirmation page again, where they scanned the DS-160 barcode. They did not ask her for the DS-160 confirmation page as they only needed the barcode from the appointment confirmation page. They gave her a interview number and she went to the waiting... read complete review
