The interview was great! Firstly and most importantly: we were approved! javascript:emoticon('')
On to the review:
We arrived 10 minutes early for our 2:00pm appointment and went to the door. The guard gave us some crap and instead of just telling us to wait a few minutes asked what time our appointment was at and then what time is it currently. Needless to say, we had to wait literally 2 minutes until he came back out and told the other couple there and another guy to line up and have our passports/IDs out along with our powered-down electronic devices. We made it through successfully (although after scanning my husband's bag like 200 times - he's a doctor and kept forgetting all the tiny electronic equipment he had in his bag) and then we entered the building. It's a great building and while it is normally quite busy, there were only 4 other people there.
The interview is just as the others have described: my husband g... read complete review

So here goes...
Overall our experience was very good. The beginning was much as others have described it. We arrived 5 minutes before 2pm and waited for them to let us in the door. We gave our names and walked through the screening then into a beautiful courtyard. We followed the signs to the hall where the interviews were to be conducted, checked in with a lady then waited to be called.
My husband was called up to the first window and I went with him. Then lady asked if I was Molly, then said I could sit down for this part. "This is the boring stuff. You are welcome to stand with him during the interview though." She was very nice to me. I sat down and waited while they talked in Spanish. There were quite a few questions, including when and where we met (my husband NEVER remembers so he actually turned around and asked me what year we met). She asked about his entries and previous visa to the US. This part took about 15 minutes. Then he sat down again an... read complete review

As mentioned in the other reviews, you should reach the embassy 5 minutes before the appointment time.
Once we entered the visa section (after our security check, etc), we were first called for a pre-interview (administrative) where the woman asked basic questions regarding the application, our address in the US (we gave a friend's since my husband and I both live in Chile). She seemed professional, however, what made me a little nervous was that she didn't smile at all and just went through the NVC file that was at the desk. Since, we expedited our request, she asked me to submit the i-864 form and my husband's income tax returns and checked that his income was above the poverty level. She said everything seemed to be in order and explained the process for following up on my passport with the visa.
After this we were called to another window where the consular officer interviewed us. Something went wrong with the systems but he started asking questions about how ... read complete review

I attended the interview with my husband (the beneficiary) and everything went smoothly. We arrived at 1:30pm for our 2:00pm appointment and were told by the guard to come back five minutes before our appointment time. When we returned there were a few other people waiting outside, two couples and one guy on his own.
We passed through security and left our cell phones and other electronics with the guards. We presented our passports and a lady checked my husband's name on a list. Then we walked through the courtyard to the immigration building, where we had to take a number at a counter. We were third in line behind the two other couples.
We were called up according to our number. There were two admin staff checking paperwork and one man doing the interviews. We were first called up to speak to one of the admin staff at the window. She asked for my husband's passport and his sealed medical evaluation envelope. She had our case file from NVC on the desk an... read complete review
