Arrived at 7am, was the first couple in line and two more lined up after us about two minutes later. Doors opened at 7:30 (just as other VJ members had said). Was out at 9:15AM!!! Very similar to the other's experiences who wrote really great reviews.
Absolutely thrilled!! And the visa arrived today! Incredible.
THANK YOU VJ!!!

Muz’s Visa was granted!!
Our interview was on April 17th at 1:00 p.m. in Vancouver. That morning several hours before, we went over our check list. We put everything in the exact order that the consulate would request it, or so we thought.
After we checked and re checked our paper work, we left our hotel and ate breakfast. Muz became more nervous as 1:00 came closer and closer. I was a bit nervous as well, but hid it as best I could.
We left for the consulate about 12:10. By the time we parked and walked to the consulate it was about 12:35. (note) the day before we did a test run to the consulate just to make sure we knew where we were going. We parked in front of the consulate and walked over to the main door. We asked the guard about remote control built into our car key. He said that it would be fine to bring in. Had we not been aloud, we figured that we would take a taxi.)
We arrived about 12:35. No line at... read complete review

... a little disjointed - felt like the process was going as it should while also feeling that I would have liked more pertinent information, as the morning progressed, from the Consulate employees. They are people doing their jobs every day, doing the same thing - serving anxious people whose lives are being affected by their actions... some are polite and considerate, some are impatient. Overall, I would say that the Montreal Consulate is well-organized and serves its purpose. I'd also like to add that if I hadn't come to VisaJourney prior to my appointment in Montreal, I would have been one of the more anxious and worried applicants in the room that day. Thankyou VJ.

We got there at 7:30am and were out by 10:30 am.
After carefully filing through security, they send you into the most depressing basement room with rows of chairs crammed in one corner of a really huge room (it was very odd). So we sat for a while until an officer came and herded us into the elevator to an upper floor. We stood in line there until our window opened at 8:30am, where we got a number.
Then it's hurry up and wait. First we were called to a window to give some documents and make sure everything was in order. Then we went back to wait some more. Then he was called to take fingerprints, and then more waiting. Last, we were called to another window to speak with someone much more official looking. He asked us a few quick questions, had us take the oath and told us we were approved.
Everyone was really nice and helpful and it was a decent experience.

Easy peasy.
Have all your documents in a folder or clipped together. Make sure the DS-156 is printed off the computer, not handwritten like I had. If you had handwritten the DS-156, they will ask you to go downstairs to use their computer to print it off. Piece of cake.
1 PM interview:
12.30 parked at Manulife (same building as US Consulate) $3 per half hour (total $12)
1 PM got called by gentleman to make sure I had all my papers
1.25 go downstairs to redo DS-156
2.09 fingerprints with Lady 1
2.16 "interview" with Lady 2
2.25 "interview" with Lady 2 complete
"Come back tomorrow at 2 to pick up your visa."
TA-DA!
