I found $10/day parking in Dorchester Square and walked the 900m to the embassy. They were checking people in 30 minutes early. After completing a screening, I entered the airport-like security. My phone and Apple Watch were put in a tiny locker and I went upstairs in an elevator. There were 2 passport-office-style partitions: one for US citizen services and one for Visas. I was asked for my passport, passport photos, and proof of payment. I was given a number ticket and sat down in the open waiting area. 20 minutes later, I was called to one window and asked to review our information. I was then asked for a copy of my passport bio page, the affidavit of support, and my birth certificate. I was asked about my occupation, and told to take a seat again. 20 minutes later, I was called to a different window. I swore to tell the truth, and the man reviewed the domestic violence brochure. I was then asked the following questions:
-what is your love story
-where did you meet... read complete review

Review Topic: General Review

I was approved at my interview on Friday October 15th!

I arrived 5 minutes before my appointment time as I have heard many others advise they are turned away and asked to return. I got in the line that had formed outside the doors. It was the last appointment of the day. The security guard was letting one person in as one person was leaving. My time was 9:45, I don't know the exact time but it was after 10:00 AM when I was let in. Went through security like the airport. No bags, no phones etc. They have lockers but I left my phone with my husband to make things easier. The security at the door asked covid screening questions including if I had left Canada in the last 14 days. I showed my passport, he checked my name on a list (before security.) They explained exactly where to go and it was very easy to navigate- first floor window 6. The guard upstairs tells you to have passport ready with passport photos (photos are returned.)

I was given a number and sa... read complete review

I would strongly recommend that you show up just five minutes before your interview. Once you find building 1134, stay as close to the glass door, as the embassy is on the left side inside and you can be spotted by the security guard.
Once you are let inside they will ask you when your appointment time is and your passport.

Afterward, you are mediately met with the security guard that asks you to place your jacket and all your belongings onto a tray. They don't make you take off your shoes.
Right at the corner there is a lockbox with keys attached, you take your cell phone and you put it in there I was able to take my wallet upstairs.

Take the elevator to level and go to window number 6, where you get a number and you give your passport and one passport photo (which you get back after the interview is over)

Depending on how many people came for you my interview was about 2 1/2 hours long and the interview itself wa... read complete review

I had my interview on Sept 27, 7:30AM. I am very glad to have been the first appointment in and out that day, as it took 40 minutes start to finish. Everyone there was very friendly (including security). As to not repeat other people's reviews, I'll keep the info to the point.

I was asked for the following documents (as we had a joint sponsor, as my husband is in medical school and therefore is not working):
- passport
- one passport photo
- birth certificate (original, long form)
- marriage certificate
- first two pages of my sponsor's taxes, and my joint sponsor's taxes (1040)
And I think that was it, to my recollection. I had brought far more documents than I needed! They were even patient with me when I got nervous and handed them the totally wrong document once.

For the interview and the pre-interview document collection, I was asked the following questions:
- when and where did yo... read complete review
