I’ve been waiting months to write this review, and now I finally can! ^_^

So, I got up at 5:15am this morning. Didn’t get much sleep. Only about 2 hours. Couldn’t stop thinking about the interview and what questions I would be asked. I somehow managed to get dressed this morning, do my hair and makeup, and remember to bring everything I needed to. Phew!

My father and I left at 5:45am and got to the consulate faster than I thought as there was no traffic. My dad dropped me off at the front of the building at 6:30am and he went off to Tim Horton’s to wait for me there. I was the first one at the consulate!

I was pretty much all alone waiting by the side doors for about 30 minutes until fellow VJ member Minted7 arrived with her husband. A couple of people arrived soon thereafter and within the next 30 minutes, the line got pretty long, maybe 15-20 people.

Around 7:30am, the lights inside turned on and I spotted 3 guards. ... read complete review

I thought I would write this while it was still fresh in my mind. I arrived in Montreal yesterday April 26th. I took the 747 express bus from the airport to a block from the hotel. This bus is very easy to take and costs $8. If you return within 24 hours your return is free. Just keep the little ticket that they give you. I stayed at La Tour Centerville that is across the street from the consulate. It is not a 5 star hotel by any means but it served it's purpose. They were having trouble with their wireless internet so I didn't have that or the higher channels on the tv. I could watch the hockey game though....I was hoping for Boston.... The room I had was a small suite. It had a kitchen, dining room, living room, bedroom and bathroom. I fell asleep on the sofa, so I can't even tell you what the bed was like.

So I got up around 5:30. Got ready to go. Left the motel room exactly 6:30am. Walked across the street and around the corner to the co... read complete review

We were scheduled for 8am. Got to the Consulate at 7:30, doors opened approx. 10 min later, went through security, then - downstairs. Spent about 15 min waiting for the guide to come down and let us into the elevator. Went upstairs, got our number. Same procedure as described by many reviewers. Interview itself was 5 min, more like a small talk while the officer went though our file. Just a couple of things I want to mention:
1. If you filed electronically, fill out your DS-230 in advance - it'll save you time in the Consulate.
2. If you're filing both CR-1 and CR-2 bring your custody papers; in our case they didn't mark them on the list of what to bring but asked for them at the interview (I had them just in case).
So this step is over (relief), now waiting for our passports to arrive.
Good luck everyone!

Arrived the night before March 23rd and stayed at the La Tour de centerville. The weather was supposed to be favorable, but it was horrible. It was clear at 6am when I got up. My appointment was March 24th at 8:30am. I didn\'t feel the need to rush, my train back to Ontario wasn\'t leaving until 3:25pm anyways. Good thing I booked the later train!!. When I left the hotel at 7:45am it was a complete snowstorm, Everything was white!! Got in about 8:30am, got number and by 11 am I was sent back to the waiting room to await the actual interview. It must have been a really heavy day because the waiting room was packed with people!. At 11:40am they called a few of us back and gave us each a slip for re-entry. Came back around 12:15pm, and waited another 2 hrs. Me and another gentleman were the only ones in the waiting area when I was called for the interview. It was quick, but I kept screwing up when she asked if I\'d been denied before(a visa) I kept saying visa instead of application. She w... read complete review

First of all I would like to thank all the VJr's for their inputs and support, specially Saylin and Zach.

My husband and I drove from Toronto the previous night. We had booked at Holiday Inn (155 Rene Levesque) which is about 10 minute walk to the Consulate. We did a recon. to make sure of the timing and to check out where the Tim Hortons is located.
We arrived at 6.55am and I was first in line. As advised by the members, I was only carrying a folder with all my documents and a plastic bag with my medicals and x-rays.
The doors opened at 7.30am and I was asked to go to the door on the left up the stairs. Once past the security, I went down on the left and sat close to the elevator. We were all gathered there for about 25 mins and were then asked to get into the elevator. I stayed at the back on the left and was second in line to the cashier (just didnt want to be the first).
I got the C2 number and was called in a few mins and was asked to go to Wind... read complete review
