As with most others, my experience was good. Appointment was for 9:15 and I arrived around 9:00. There were about 5 people in line when I got there and waited about 35 minutes before being let inside to confirm my appointment, get my number for inside the consulate and go through security. Elevator up to 1st floor and waited about 25 minutes before my number was called. First window was taking fingerprints, providing passport and photos, originals of my birth certificate, marriage certificate, wife's divorce decree, police report, W2 and tax transcript. Some general questions asked like wife's name, address, etc. Sat down and waited about 25 more minutes before being called to another window for the interview. Questions were very basic such as wife's name, DOB, international travel, what she does for work and what I do, if I plan to continue doing the same, how many kids we have an any issues with immigration. I had a visa revoked previously and she mentioned she saw that on my... read complete review

My interview was scheduled for 8am on Tuesday, January 11th, 2022. I arrived at the embassy around 7:45-7:50 and was let in right away after they asked my appointment time (there was no one in line). I was asked to give my name and passport to the person at the podium. They put a sticker on the back of my passport and put two copies of a ticket number inside my passport (they didn't tell me this, and my glasses were so fogged up from the cold that I didn't realize that they had, but this number is what they use to call you up to the windows). They told me to my belongings in the bins for the airport-style security. I brought my small purse and an expandable folder for my documents. I had to remove all of my "technology" to put it in one of the small lockers they provide there. From what people had said previously, I thought it would just be my phone and wireless headphones that I needed to put in there. Turns out, all of my charging cords, vehicle keys/remotes also needed to go in ther... read complete review

Appointment time was at 7:45am. I got there 10 mins early and was let in right away. Same experience as others have mentioned. Went through airport like security. I was told to turn off my phone and put it in a small locker. I went up to the first floor and waited for a few minutes before being called up to window 4. They took my fingerprints, my passport and copy, 2 photos, police certificate, my birth certificate (and copy), fiancé’s birth certificate, proof of payment, affidavit of support and supporting documents (I gave his 2021 W2, 2020 tax transcript, employment letter and paystubs). I was then given the domestic violent pamphlet to read and wait until I was called again. 10 minutes later was called to window 2 for the interview.
I was asked about my fiancé, where he works, where I work, how we met, where I plan on staying when I move, if I’ve ever overstayed or been denied entry into US, what was the longest time I’ve ever stayed in US... read complete review

K1 Visa approved!
Went there at 7.15 AM. Waited for approximately 20 mins outside in the cold. They let us one person at a time. Confirmed my name and appointment time. You will be given two tickets of the same number. Went through airport like security. Locked my phone and keys in one of the lockers and took the elevator to the 1st floor. After waiting for several minutes in the waiting area, my ticket number was called at window 7, confirmed my name and birth date, my address in Canada, my phone number, my fiancé's address and phone number, two passport size photos, took my fingerprints, took my birth certificate (both original and a copy), my fiancé's proof of US citizenship (a copy of her passport was enough), police certificates (original) from Canada and India, affidavit of support and recent tax return transcript (2020). She asked me if it was my first marriage and her first marriage as well. She said everything is in order and asked me to wait in the waiti... read complete review
