Overall nice folks, professional. Wait times are fine.
There's.... not much more I can say about it?
I suppose if anything, processing done here does take forever, and that dreaded DS-5535 has probably lead to more confusion and fights in otherwise healthy relationships than anyone really wants or needs in life. So I'll dock a point for that.
The only other thing is more of a clarity point for the whole process in general; It would be nice if the instruction letter gave links to examples of each document needed, clearly watermarked and filled with a lot of dummy info. Just helps make it easier to know which ones to get. That's not a consulate thing though.

Hello everyone,
I am not usually a review submitter but since I read so many reviews that can make you anxious I thought it would be amazing if I could relax at least one person here.
Here is my timeline:
i130 was submitted on April 2023 and approved on April 2024. NVC approved on May 2024. I received an interview letter on 25th October 2024 and my interview was on December 9th, 2024 at 8:30 am.
I have been staying with my husband in Denver since August 2024 as I lost my job and I didn't see any point living away in Canada anymore (Which the US consulate and NVC advised against but I did it anyway with plans to continue living in Canada if I get any 221g or Ds5535 in case I have any delays).
I booked my medical with Dr. Lyndon in Downtown Toronto as they were the only ones available on short notice ( I didn't book my medical earlier which was a mistake on my end as I have been waiting on my Canadian citizenship oath ... read complete review

I had my interview in Montreal on December 13th. The previous reviews on this site did a great job of describing the process. Overall it was a great experience and all of the staff were friendly, professional and patient. Here are a couple comments:
- you have to line-up outside the building until they call in the time of your interview appointment. It was a little chilly outside so take that into consideration
- no laptop bags, backpacks or large bags are allowed to come in. You need to find a business nearby if you don't have a car available
- bring a book to read to pass the time as you leave your phone in the security area
- first you wait for your number to be called and then review some info and supply some documents (birth certificate, marriage certificate, photo, passport)
- then you can called to get your fingerprints taken
- then after waiting you get called for your interview (done through a glass barrier)
My appointme... read complete review
