My appointment was for 8:15 and I arrived just after 8. There was a line outside and they were calling everyone in one at a time. Most people there had their appointment times after me, so I moved ahead of them to the front of the line. There's no indication on the outside of where the consulate is, just a logo on the glass door inside. I walked by the day before to make sure I knew where to go.
After being let into the building they asked me if I was fully compliant with COVID protocols, checked my passport, gave me my number, had me turn off my phone, and ran me through airport-like security. I put my phone in the small locker and went up to the first floor.
I waited just over an hour for my number to be called the first time. They took all my original documents and one photo, then verified our addresses and phone numbers for both my husband and I. They took all my fingerprints and gave me the domestic abuse pamphlet as well. I overheard someone else ... read complete review

I had my interview at the consulate in March 2022. I got there about 5 minutes before my appointment time and I was expecting a line there, but to my confusion and surprise, there was no line! I entered through the doors totally missing where the consulate doors were lol but as I waited outside it I was greeted by one of the guards and was told to wait there. It looks as though they only want 1 family/1 person going through the security process at a time. About 3 minutes later, I was told to come inside. I had a small cross-body bag with me and a binder with all my documents (I actually put this binder in a laptop sleeve as protection for nothing to fall out lol). There was a person before the security belt that asked for my passport, they checked my name off the list and printed out two receipts with the same number on them. I was told to shut off my phone. Then put my crossbody bag, document binder, my watch (I wore a generic strap watch as others stated the clock in the consulate wa... read complete review

I had my medical back in February 2022 with Dr. Zatzman. His office is on the second floor. When I got to the office, I saw all the seats had been taken (limited seats for social distancing) and I was told to wait outside the door if I was there for a medical immigration appointment (they did not ask for my name, so I was kind of worried if I was supposed to check-in or not). Nevertheless, they called my name about 20 minutes later and asked for my appointment letter and passport. Then took pictures with their own camera (so you don't need to bring passport photos with you), paid the fee, and was given a paper with my picture on it with my case number and other details, and then was told to be seated and the doctor will call me. About 20 minutes later the doctor called me. He asked for my vaccination record, I had actually prefilled out the form they have on their website and wrote the dates for my vaccinations that are listed on that paper and got it signed by my family doctor. He rea... read complete review

I was in and out of the building within 30 min.
There was a line up but they call people based on their appointment time. Don't bother showing up till a few min before your scheduled time. You'll just be waiting outside.
Do not bring backpacks, large purses, etc. They will send you back to your hotel to leave your bags there (a couple people had to do this). They will give you a small lock box for your phone and keys. Only your wallet you can keep with you when you head upstairs.
Everyone was very polite and courteous. Honestly it was the easiest part of this whole process.
My visa was created right away. My appt was April 4 and I received my passport w/ visa back at home on April 6.
