Fast interview but you may get 221g/delay due to the close proximity of medical and the medical actually being sent.
Make sure to get the correct type of criminal record because that can add a few weeks to the process.
CO interviewer was very brief and impersonal
if you get 221g/delayed approval even if its only because of medical expect a month or two delay before approval.

My interview was on Thursday January 5th, 2023 at 7:30am. I arrived about 5 minutes before and was let in right away. Overall I was in and out about 50 minutes.
Went through security, locked up my phone and headed upstairs. First window asked for my civil documents, photo, and to confirm my address in the US. Second window was quick, asked who was my petitioner, when and how we met, when and where we got married, what I do for work, and where in the US I was going. Gave me back my original civil documents except for police certificate. I gave the officer a copy of my updated travel dates for the DS-260 along with a copy of my I-94. The officer stated they were intending on approving my visa and sent me on my way. Everyone I interacted with was very nice and helpful. I received my tracking number the following day and had my passport with visa in hand Monday January 9th!

I had a super smooth and easy experience, thankfully!
My appointment was for 8:30am, once I got to the consulate I was let in and went through security, took the elevator to the first floor and waited to be called by my number in the seating area. I waited about 5 mins and was called to a window where a very friendly woman greeted me and asked who my sponsor was, when we got married, what our phone numbers were, what my husband's US address was, asked for my original birth certificate, marriage certificate, police certificate and one passport photo, and then she took my finger prints, handed me a panflet about my rights, and asked me to wait once more for my number to be called.
I waited about another 20 minutes and was called to another widown for my interview. I think the whole thing took like 5 mins, super quick and straight forward. I did my oath, she also took my finger prints, asked if I had any questions about the panflet they gave me and then these... read complete review

Interview November 2, 2022 at 9:45 AM
o Arrived at the consulate at 9:15 AM
o There was a line up of people and they seemed to be running behind. The security guard stepped out and asked if anybody had interviews at 8:45 or 9 AM and some people raised their hand.
o I finally got in at around 10:15 AM and went through security. They need your passport at this stage and they give you a ticket number which will be your number to look for on the screens. Do not bring your laptops. I only brought my wallet, phone, and my binder with me. I put my phone in the small lockers that they have and you take the key with you. All the security guards are very nice. You then take the elevator to the first floor and this is where you enter a large room with a lot of chairs and a screen to read your number.
o I waited until 10:45 AM and then I went up to one of the booths. At this stage, the lady collected my passport, original birth certificate (long version), original marri... read complete review

Very inconvenient for those living in western Canada. If you live in Western Canada, save well in advance for the cost of flights to Montreal.
Location is downtown and easily walkable from hotels.
The consulate experience itself was not that bad. Waiting outside in the rain while waiting for our appointment times to be called was the worst part. Also, the appointment time you’re given isn’t the time you’ll be interviewed, it’s when you’ll be allowed into the building by security.
Have all your documents easily accessible in a folder.
There is a water fountain inside. Although I’ve heard some people say they were allowed to bring a water bottle in.
Don’t bring a large purse because you’re only given a small small locker for your belongings.
Consulate agent was friendly and the interview itself is very quick and painless.
