My interview was scheduled for 1:30 pm. I arrived at the embassy around 1 pm and waited until 1:25 pm and went through Security.
After getting into the building, I sat down and waited to be called so I can submit all the required additional documents- bring "Svidetelstvo za semeino polojenie"! The person who I spoke to at first was a super nice Bulgarian lady. She checked all the documents, while in the meanwhile asked basic questions about my husband and our relationship in general. She asked if I had brought any photos. I had photos from different trips around US and Europe. After she had everything she needed, she asked me to fill out the DHL shipping list and sit back down and wait for the interview.
After maybe 30 mins I got called by the consular, got my finger prints taken and was asked questions again. That took around 10 minutes and she finally said that everything looked good and after my finger-prints cleared I would receive my documents in 2 or 3 days. And I... read complete review

My interview was scheduled for 2pm on Oct 21st 2010. Got there a little early so I had to wait on the other side of the street. At 2pm they let me in, went tru security (really nice guyz), left my phone and walked down the stony lane to the consular section. I waited for about 20 minz before a Bulgarian lady called me to window 5. She checked my documents and said we needed a joint sponsor package (even tho we had provided all the info necessary and hubby had enough income). She was the only one who was a little bit rude with me (still in a polite way tho..  )Nevertheless, she said I will have my interview today. She then gave me my original civil documents back and told me to wait. So I waited for about an hour and then I was called at window 7 to have my interview with the consul. She was really nice and polite, asked me simple questions: Where we met? How many times he has visited? Where was our wedding? When do I plan to leave for the USA? The interview was easy and it takes no longer than 5 minutes. The american lady was very nice and friendly. Good luck everyone!

My fiance had the interview. But he told me the people were very friendly, everything went smooth and the interview itself was only about 5 minutes. They schedule everyone for the same time so be there earlier. He still had to wait an hour and a half to get called. He got approved, no problems!!!

The Consular said she could see from our pictures and Christmas cards how much we love each other.After all the waiting and worrying they were extremly nice and asked me no more than a few questions like what's his name,work,how we met and if he knows my parents.When I told them they cried when we told them we're engaged she asked if I'm a single child :"It's 3 of us actually" I said and we laughed  My advice-bring the best pictures you have-kissing,hugging and showing its true love.That's what they care about I think.And good luck
