The interview process was very well organized. All the paperwork from NVC made it to the consulate, so there was no need for me to submit any additional documents. Once you go in and check out your cell phone, you walk into the interview room. The person at the first desk takes your passport and gives you a DHL form to fill out so your passport can be delivered back to you.
Then, a person calls you up from the desk marked - Immigrant petitions and checks all the paperwork that the NCV submitted together with you, asking you questions about your relationship in the meantime. This person asked for a certificate of martial status (udostoverenie za semeino polojenie) that one is supposed to get from their local municpality - I did not have one, but it turned out not to be a problem.
She asked me for pictures, I had some from the wedding, honeymoon and Christmas with my family after the wedding. She asked for pictures of us before we got married, I have not brought any, but it... read complete review

My wife was applying for a F-1 visa and got denied by the Vice Council. Few days later we went back with my then-fiance and got interviewed again by the same lady as she needed to sign a declaration for me in which I stated I was single and was free to marry my girl. Her first question was so mean and rude! She looked at my wife, and asked "It's you again?"
Next time when we need to go to the embassy I will certainly want to meet the Council Mr.Peron and complain to him that Bulgarian people were much nicer and friendly to me than my "own" people...

Everything was great. The interview was at 9.30am so at that time we got in line to get in the cosulate. Paid the fee, then a bulgarian guy announced my name and requested all the documents, asked me a few question and told me i should wait a little for the interview. I was interviewed by a lady, very nice very proffesional. They only asked for the photos and the financial documentation for the Affidavit. The questions were:
- How did you meet? (a little details about that)
- How many times i was there and he was here?
- Where do we plan to live?
- What is he working?
- Is he living alone?
- What do the parents think about our marriage?
Then she give me a badge with the american flag, said they will send me the passport via DHL and i should have it by the end of the week. She said: We have everything we need, have a good trip. That was all. I had a very large bag with proof of relationship, they didn't ask me for any of them. Good luck t... read complete review
