The consul asked me if I ever had tried a american visa before, how and when we first met, if I have kids, If my finace have kids and what is their names.
Why we want to live in USA and not in Brazil.
And then asked if we have pics together and asked to see.
He asked all these questions while typing on computer, and then he finally said that the interview was approved.
My fiance went to the interview with me and I can tell that it helps A LOT when the american fiance goes with you to the interview.

Our interview result was APPROVED, however the experience was not so enjoyable. Our advice is to bring only the documents asked for in the instructions provided on the consulate website. Bringing additional documents just makes it confusing. In our case, my fiancee applicant had to go back by herself and submit the documents and it made it difficult for her since I had prepared everything and we had more evidence and documentation than was necessary. Another piece of advice is that if you have no children there is no reason to come early as all the applicants with children are allowed inside first and this puts you near the back of the line regardless of when you showed up. Actually, this is a nice thing for the applicants with children. Also, wear light clothes as the room where you will wait is very crowded with applicants for tourist visas and the temperature was very uncomfortable. The interview itself was good as the interviewer used both Portuguese and English. We were asked... read complete review

I got to the consulate with my wife, they gave us a paper with a number, then we were admitted to the consulate and waited in a room until everyone got their documents checked with a consulate employee. Then they started getting fingerprints and reviewing and returning our original documents sent to the NVC. After that they started calling one by one by name for the interview, with a 10 minutes gap between each interview. We were the last ones. The only question we were asked was how did we meet. We were approved! We took around 4 hours in the whole process.

My interview was really nice and easy, the Consul was really kind, didn't ask too many questions. Actually, this is what he asked me:
How did you two meet?
For how long have you been dating?
When was the first time you spoke?
When are you planning to move to the US?
It didn't take more than 5 minutes, as far as I remember, really nice.
