Review Topic: K1 Visa

My fiancée was in and out easily enough, but visa initially denied because they hadn't seen a *second* orgiginal of my divorce certificate (without which the original I-139F would never have been issued in the first place). She ended up having to travel to Rio again, just to hand one in personally to ASC.

Review Topic: IR-5 Visa

My dad recently when through the IR5 interview. His experience was exactly what we were expecting based on experience of the other users here.

His appointment was at 8am, he got there around 7am. Right away street vendors offered to keep his phone. Because he was anxious with the time, he didn't try to find a cheaper vendor so he ended up paying R$50, which is way more than other people described here.

The line for tourist visas was huge and there was no immigrant line. Since we knew that usually there's a line for IVs, my dad checked-in with the staff, which every 15 minutes would come to let people in. The employee asked if he had the medical exam, gave him a green tag and let him in.

Inside, another person asked again if he was applying for a immigrant visa and then directed him to the 2nd floor. Getting there another employee asked my dad if he had filled out the "Contact Sheet" and asked him to put the documents together in a given ord... read complete review

Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

We had our interview scheduled for 7:40 am on April 5th. Arriving at the consulate at 6:45 am, we joined the immigration line opposite the queue for regular visas, accompanied by approximately eight other applicants. Outside, individuals in orange vests offered a convenient phone storage service for a mere $R10, as phones were prohibited inside.

Before entry, we presented confirmation of our medical examination to one of the organizers. By 6:55 am, we were granted access to the consulate. Upon ascending to the upper level, we received a document organization guide. Subsequently, we submitted our documents and awaited our turn to be called.

When our name was called, we approached a window where our documents were thoroughly reviewed and verified. Following a brief ten-minute wait, we were summoned to another window for the interview. The interviewer conducted the session with utmost politeness, posing only four questions which concluded within a swift five ... read complete review

Very polite gentleman, asked several questions about how my wife and I met, if my wife had ever traveled to the US, things like that. He seemed to be more focused on the computer verifying and reviewing our information than he was actually looking at us.

Review Topic: K1 Visa

A calm interview, they asked me how many times my fiance had come to Brazil, then he asked me which countries we had visited and if we had family in those countries. And then it said visa approved.
