Five hour wait for five minute interview. Questions strange--looked for discrepancies between answers and information already received, but otherwise painless and to the point as we had an abundance of proofs of relationship. Money with I-134 cosponsor not an issue (not even asked for) with petitioner living in Bolivia.

The people at the Consulate are very friendly and pleasant to work with. They answered any questions we had, and we had a lot, in a very timely manner, withing 24 hours. When we had problems they explained the reasons as much as they were allowed and steered us int he right direction to resolve them. There was one occasion in which they sent us the wrong information about being denied, and when I asked about it the answers they gave got a little confusing on their part, but other than that the experience was a very good experience.
At the initial interview they had some questions about the relationship, they could have easily just gave us an RFE, but they didn't they took the time to call me, the petitioner, one the phone from Bolivia to ask additional questions to clear any doubts they had.

My fiancé waited for quite some time at the consulate, but his interview lasted only a couple of minutes and it appeared they had pre-printed an approval letter! Woohoo!

My fiance went to his appointment early and he was informed to come back 15 min. before his appointment. Once inside he paid the fee and was asked if he had registered via DHL and they showed him our package (that we sent 10 days prior). He waited for about 30 minutes until he was called up. They asked the following:
1. What is your fiance's name?
2. When did you meet?
3. What is her date of birth?
4. Where does she live?
5. How long have you been dating?
Goes over our phone logs 6. Why are some calls short? some long?
6. Where are her parents?
They lost our photos and luckily he brought in a photo album
7. Who are the people in the pictures?
8. Where were the photos taken?
Congratulations!! YOUR VISA HAS BEEN APPROVED!!
