Interview went really good. After 15-20 minutes and some questions about how we met and about my fiancé I was told my visa would be ready for pick up the next week (5 business days).

Interview on june 21st at 2pm, went to the consulate at 1pm (it opens at 1:15pm, and it pays off to be early). Once passed the security checkpoint, you have to wait in line for the second security check (comparable to airport security, metal detector, you have to empty your pockets, cellphone, cigarettes, lighters are kept in the security office). Once through there, you have to take a number and wait. You can watch CNN while you wait, and seeing i arrived early, i had to wait until 2pm for the immigrationcounter to open up. From there, it was smooth sailing, very friendly people that understand that you are nervous, they keep the conversation light, while asking for the required documents, scan your fingerprints and explain to you how the interview works. Once thats done, you just take a seat and watch the monitor for your number to come up (hang on to the ticketstub, you need it more than once!!) and once it comes up, you go talk to the consular officer, answer a few questions about ... read complete review

We arrived an hour early at the Brussels embassy, where the visa processing starts at 2pm. At 1.15pm we were able to enter the premises to stand in line. We were 2nd in line and first for the visa processing queue. you need to stand outside (covered), no chairs or seats are available.
We entered the embassy at 1.45pm and went through the typical airport checkpoint. bag, coats, etc are sent through the x-ray machine and all electronics, keys, etc need to be left behind. you do receive a ticket for it.
once entered the waiting room (you can watch CNN), you are called to the visa window (it can take some time if you're not first in line), where a friendly trilingual lady checks the file you've sent earlier to USCIS & NVC. Every document is looked at an in our case, special attention was given to form I-864 (sponsor) as we are relying on assets to meet the poverty line requirement.
Additional originals can be given at this time, but you can also get back origin... read complete review

After a postpone interview meeting from Tuesday to Thursday, was at Brussels embassy around 13:30pm (meeting was scheduled at 2:00pm). Waited outside for about 15min people ahead of me, some after. A security man came often to ask for reasons of presence. So, taking this into consideration, some people after me in line went first inside. Not much to complain but be aware this can happen.
When my turn came to go inside, passed same checking as the ones as in the airports. Purse has to be left in this room, just took my papers with me.
Took a ticket inside a waiting room. My number called I've been at a desk where a very smiling and effective man took all my papers. Was called a bit later for finger prints. Then another desk for the interview that latest about 15 min.
With people sitting behind you, there is not privacy when you tell about your history with boyfriend but I don't mind really, I won't never see those people again and the contact with the man behind the... read complete review

So, had the interview Oct 18th at the Embassy in Brussels... Got in there, 2pm, passed the securitycheck (easy) and went inside. Got myself a number, and waited for my number to display and walked myself to the counter. The lady was very nice, asked me for some documents and later she called me back to her window. I had one missing document. The Joint-Sponsor birthcertificate.. I completely fell out of the sky, I was totally clueless! Even though I had a missing document, she send me over to the Consul anyway. Had a smooth talk with him, simple question about how we met, when we decided to get married, had to show him some pictures and he asked me easy questions... Very relaxed and smooth, he cracked some jokes, he was easy going.. No worries! At the end of the interview he said I had that document missing, and to get it to him by next Tuesday (24Oct) and said 'than you should be fine' ... Hopefully that means approval... He did keep my passport and the whole file... We'll see what hap... read complete review
