I was about 30-45 minutes late for my interview, as I thought it'll be in the Embassy. When I showed up there, the police officer informed me that Immigration visas are handled by the Consulate across the city, but the lady was nice enough to call them and let them know i'll be late. So I jumped in an UBER and off i went to the correct location, which doesnt look fancy at all. its literally a side entrance at the back of the Marriott Hotel, take the lift upstairs and then you are greeted by 2 police officers, that x-ray your bag and I had to give them my smartwatch.
The interview was short and with everyone I interacted that was working there, was genuinely so nice!
They didnt ask me any uncomfortable questions and didn't even wanted to see any proof of relationship photos.
As my medical was not ready, they gave me the "Refused" letter, but kept my passport. They only waited for my medical results to be delivered (same day), and then they printed my visa.

Interview was quick and easy. Everyone was very friendly and only 3 questions were asked: When did you first meet? When did the beneficiary come to Austria for the first time? How goes your wine studies? (My fiancé works in the wine industry). They took his passport (Wednesday) and told him it would be ready within a week for pickup.

On October 10th 2018 I had my Interview for spouse visa.
My actual appointment was for 11 am but me being super nervous, I went up there at around 10.40/10.45 and just hoped it will be fine.
Since I read, that they don't like and allow bags in, I didn't bring one and had just my papers and other evidence in a folder. My phone was allowed.
After security check, I was escorted to window 5 where a really nice man was already waiting for me. He asked me for my passport, the doctors results, the passport style pictures and 3 documents ( birth certificate, marriage certificate, as well as police clearance)
He then asked me if he's correct that I wanted to pick up the passport instead of having it delivered and I said yes.
Then I waited for about 30 minutes until a woman called me to window six.
I had to take an oath and she then asked me 5 questions: When did you get married? How did you meet? Since when has he been living in Austria? Does he al... read complete review

Embassy in Vienna was very quick to schedule our interview. Interview was at 1pm on 12.28, less than one week after they received our returned packet 3. Wasn't allowed in to embassy until exact appointment time. Asked about how we met, the history, more or less, of our relationship, and how we got engaged. As our medical was scheduled for after the interview (the only doctor who does this was on vacation!) we were officially denied due to lack of medical, but unofficially congratulated on our approval barring we get the medical done. All is all was an easy, smooth, and very fast process.
