Arrived at MLC center by train at 8am ready for the 9am appointment. Went through security with no problems and was directed to take the lift by guards to the 59th floor for my interview. Went through more security on that floor before entering and took my ticket. Waited around 30mins for my first interview which went smoothly. Since all payments, fees and documents were done through NVC here in the States, I only had to provide my medical papers, passport and 3kg express envelope. After that, I waited around 10mins and was called up again where I was told everything was approved and an interview would soon follow. Sat down again and was called for the interview. I was asked by the lady how my wife and I met, how many times had I been to the US, how many times she came to Australia, what I planned on doing for a job in the US, where my wife was born and finally, to produce some photos of the two of us together. I produced our wedding photos and after some light chatting, she approved m... read complete review

Got to the consulate at 7:30am for my 8:00am interview on the 4th August.
Went and had a security check on level 10 then spent 30 mins waiting to go to the 59 floor.
Once on level 59, got a ticket then waited for a couple of mins then went to a window, the lady just looked over my papers and asked me for my passport, visa fee receipt, original birth cert and a 3kg post bag which they advised to bring in packet 4.
then she advised me that everything looks good and asked me to take a seat.
5 mins later another person called me to have my fingerprint taken, then took another seat.
5 mins later I was called to another window to have my interview.
the man just asked me a couple of questions like, where does your fiance live, where does he work and when would I be leaving for the states.
He also looked over my medical results and saw that I actually got a tattoo of my fiances name on my foot and said "wow, youre pretty committed" lol then w... read complete review

Everyone at the consulate was friendly and helpful, waiting was minimal, overall it was a pleasant experience. The building was easy to get to, a short walk from the train station in the center of the city. No problems whatsoever.

We arrived about 7:35 for an 8am appointment and had to wait in the security line for about ten minutes. They kept our bag downstairs and we were let up with just our documents with the first row of people. Got in the lift last so we got out first and had the first ticket and appointment of the day. we were called to a window where a lady took my passport, passport photos, fee receipt and express bag. She made us sit back down and we saw her taking the tracking label off the bag and labeling it with a sender address which was a good sign. She told us she saw no problems with out application. She gave us an info sheet for after we're approved and we were sent to sit down and wait to be called to another window for our interview. The guy there called us after about 10min and asked if I'd been to the US before, noted the last visit was in December, and we chatted about how cold it is that time of year. He also asked if I'd ever lived in the US. Then he told us we were approved and asked i... read complete review
