Hey
Well I had to fly down the night before on a monday night, as my interview was at 8am... Stayed at the Great Southern on George street... about a 15-20min walk to the Consulate..... I arrived at the consulate at 7:30am, there was about 5 of us waiting upstairs... they let us in just a little bit before 8am, did the appointment check with the letter you get in P4.. and then check your bags and then you leave your bags there... I then sat there with a couple of others being all nervous with quiet a few folders full of stuff compared to others with stuff all haha but oh well.. got told to go upstairs, went to another window and the lady checked my appointment and then buzzed me through a door.. i took a ticket and sat down for like 2 mins and then got called to a window to check paper work and give her the envelope and passport and stuff (i left my passport in my bag ooopse) after all the hassel of getting my passport back, i sat there and waiting about 5 mins waiting... read complete review

My interview was scheduled for 14th June 2011, but since I had all the documents ready I requested the Consulate to bring my interview date closer to end of May. My Interview date was re-scheduled for 24th May 2011. Consulate response to the emails is really very professional.
My Interview was scheduled at 9:00 AM on the day. Boarded the 1st Flight from Melbourne (Avalon Airport, 6:10 AM) and reached Sydney at 7:30 AM, lucky not to have delays in flight. Didn't wanted to stay at hotel the previous night as it is waste of money.
Straight away took the train from Domestic Terminal to St James Station (Closest to MLC Center) which took like 15 minutes in train.
Entered the MLC center 8:15 AM, took the Elevator to Lvl 10 (US Embassy Reception)
Checked my appointment details and told me to wait, where someone authorized directed me to Lvl 59.
Got in, took the ticket and waited before I was called to counter to verif... read complete review

Very easy Got questioned a bit about children to previous relationship but IO was satisfied after only a couple of questions. Did however have to wait just over a hour to get called up to the first window.
All in all, everything went great and I got approved :D Thanks guys!!!

It was pretty straight forward. Hardest part is the waiting, not losing your paperwork on the way (almost left it at outside channel 7 studios) and choosing the right elevator (which I didn't the first time).
Once you get past security and make it to where you're supposed to be and take a ticket it is just a matter of waiting and watching others on their journey.
I don't remember the questions as I have waited too long to write this review but they were easy enough. You will go from one widow to another, get your finger prints taken then eventually after alot of waiting you will get the O.K. and you will walk out of there with the biggest smile on your face and feel able to breath.
All round a pleasant journey.

As I am from Perth I flew into Sydney the night before and checked into my hotel at 11pm. My interview was for 8am and I got to the consulate at 7:20am but couldn't get to level 10 until 7:30am. I waited around for a few minutes before they opened up the reception and allowed me in, I was the first in for the day. After going through the security screening I waited in the front row of chairs until 8am, at which point the first row of chairs was allowed up to the 59th floor.
Once on the 59th floor I was first in and took ticket number 001 and was pretty much immediately called to the first available window. I handed over my documents, took fingerprint scans and was asked to sit down until I was called again. I was called back to the same window and the lady handed back my original documents and asked me to take a seat in the middle area until called by the consular officer.
I sat down for about 5 minutes before I was called up to the window by an American l... read complete review
