It's hard to summarize the experience my fiancee had at the embassy in Yerevan. I accompanied my fiancee to the interview, so I can provide some first-hand experience of the whole ordeal. The Consular Officer did not read our financial documents and instructed us to find a sponsor, so we just re-submitted the same documentation we had previously uploaded via CEAC, and it was then approved. The Consular Officer also requested a new passport and a re-issued version of my birth certificate because they were 'old and dirty,' which we had to submit via the local courier. After a bit of a mix-up on the Consular Office's side which delayed the process by about a week, we finally got the visas.
