The process itself went very well... the only real problem I had was with the guard outside. He wouldn't let me into me into my own embassy even though I was holding up my US Passport right in front of his face. That's the last time I speak to any hired guards in Spanish, he thought I was waiting for a tourist visa even though I kept telling him I'm American... fortunately there was another couple behind us and a manager came out and asked us what was going on and we were let in. It definitely left a bad taste in my mouth. Other than that, it was just like being in a DMV, typical US government office. It was freezing cold inside (like below 65) and I had wished I had brought a jacket. We waited a long time for our interview, we found out that a ton of us were all scheduled at the exact same time and they just took us one at a time. By the time we got into the interview, we had been there 2+ hrs. We had the German lady. She was a great interviewer, she asked if we wanted to speak in Eng... read complete review

Interview went very well. The consulate does not let you in until 15 minutes before the scheduled interview. First we took the famous green folder and added additional documents that we were required to bring. We turned the folder in to the secretary, who was extremely nice and told us "wow, you really went all out" with the amount of evidence we brought. We were given a number and waited for about 45 minutes until my husband's name was called on the loudspeaker. We walked in and immediately felt at ease. The interview was more like a conversation than an interview/interrogation. He directed the questions to both of us and only asked two questions about the relationship: When did we meet? (to USC) What were you doing in Argentina when you met?
Then he asked: Who is your co-sponsor? What does she do? Where are you going to live? (to my husband) Have you ever committed a crime? (to USC) Where did you go to school? How long have you been here in Buenos Aires?
The CO didn't ... read complete review

I was called right away and I might have been in there for about 1.5 hours. They called me so fast, I had to finish organizing all the documentation, inside of the infamous "green folder", at the window.
I experienced a little hiccup, which you can read about here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/359711-interview-today-visa-not-granted-yet/
Luckily, everything went well, because they actually did, what they should have done in the very beginning... They checked my records!!!
While I had a less than fabulous experience with my particular case, the US Embassy in Argentina has a good staff and I was always treated well.
My rating will be low, because I believe they had plenty of time of check my records instead of bluntly accusing me of something I had never done. While I understand that it was easier to assume because, unf... read complete review
