Everyone at the embassy was very friendly and very professional. We had to wait for 3 weeks for an appointment as there seems to be only 1 slot open each month for K1 visas. I contacted the embassy 3 times and support@ustraveldocs.com to finally get an appointment set-up.
Interview went smooth
5 questions:
- How did you meet?
- When did he visit you?
- How long has he lived in the US?
- What does he do?
- Where will you live in the US?

The interview process was smooth and easy, but also long, the consular ask me couple simple Qs abt me, my Fiencee and our co-sponsor in this case her Mom.
then he told me congrats and welcome to your new life in America, but he said we have a technical issue and you have to come back for fingersprint scaning so i left my contact num hoping from them to call as soon as possible.
that was my experience hope everyone learn from it.
God is great and Hmdl

My fiance had his interview and he said that it was very good that the girl that interviewed him was very nice. he said it took him about two hours. but that they did not ask him to many questions. that alot of the questions i asked him for practice some of them they did not even ask. that is one of the reasons that she was very nice he said. lol. i have a very silly fiance. I have heard from many that the Algiers embassy is very nice. and also a tip for any on in algeria.. if any one lives in a town that is not the capital and can not make it back to pick up there visa but has a friend that lives there they can write a letter giving the friend permission to pick it up for them. that is what my fiance did. since he lives 8 hours away from the capital.

It has been very frustrating to deal with the embassy in Algiers. Our case was expedited, so the NVC was not the one scheduling our interview. The case was "in transit" for over 2 weeks before we got any news. I tried calling the number on the website but was told I could not get any help regarding interviews or visas, or pretty much anything that was not an immediate threat to my life. I was told to email the embassy, and so I did...MANY times. Most times my emails were not answered at all, and other times they were answered usually a week or more later, and they did not even answer my questions They really need to consider implementing some sort of phone line where people can call regarding consular affairs or respond to emails in a timely manner. The only reason I am giving the embassy a "2" instead of a "0" is simply because they approved my expedite request...but then again, that was after submitting 4 requests :P.
