My fiance' had interview today 10-28-15. appt was at 130 . did the usual paper shuffle. Met with woman for interview around 4 pm. spent much time reviewing supporting documentation. and she asked how long did you know your fiance. what town did your fiance work at previous job. What city your fiance's father work in .. strange to be more about family members than the fiancee. anyway after maybe 30 minutes. MY fiance was given a paper with approval and to come back in 5-6 days to pick up visa... phew. Although the interview itself was not long. The time from when NVC sent paperwork until consulate send packet to us for interview was well over 2 months. They had case since July 10th. They are very overloaded with cases. word to the wise, make sure you have ample evidence of relationship and financial info available. They seem to spend alot of time on this. Good luck to all.. Now we just wait for visa to be issued/

Hello Everyone
My fiance had his interview yesterday,October 14,2015
Him and I both checked constantly for him to even get scheduled a Interview and luckily he got one!
Anyways,Here are the questions that he was asked:
-How did him and I meet?Brief description
-Who will be sponsoring him?
-Does your fiance have any siblings?
-What are your plans for the wedding?
Then she smiled and told my fiance Congratulations! He was in shock haha she said go run and call your fiance and tell her just don't fall down the stairs <3
Those were the questions,he said it was quick,The woman who interviewed him was very kind and polite, which made it a comfortable experience. The interview was only 5 minutes but it took her an hour to go through the proof of ongoing relationship, which was over 50 pages long!
My advice from what he told me is for one get there early obviously, dress professional,The more evidenc... read complete review

My Fiance had his interview on September 9, 2015.
The process to get the interview was the most difficult. They don't release appointment dates often, and there are not many available when they do release them. It took us over a month to get an appointment scheduled They also do not respond in a timely manner to emails and phone contacts are nonexistent
THE ACTUAL INTERVIEW.......
He arrived at 1 pm for an appointment at 1:30 pm. After going through a couple of "check" points, he was told to wait to be called. In total, he was in the embassy for 4 hours but the actual "interview" (talking with the CO and answering questions) took about 20 minutes. (ALHAMDULILLAH)
He was asked simple questions regarding our relationship.
*WHEN DID WE MEET
*DID HE KNOW I WAS MARRIED AND DIVORCED
*WHAT AGE ARE MY KIDS
*WHERE DO MY KIDS LIVE
*WHEN DID I VISIT ALGERIA
*WHERE DID I STAY WHEN I WAS IN ALGER... read complete review

The good thing about the embassy is that they try to process the application in a timely manner. However, they are under staffed and they are overloaded. Especially after they moved applications from Yemeni Citizens to Algiers, and that created even more delay. I would also note that there is no way to contact the consular section for immigrant cases except through an email. There is no phone number to call. You cannot even walk in and present your concern. They will just ask you to email them. They do not answer emails quickly. It took me one month and a half to get an answer from them

The embassy was very kind. I was allowed to go into the embassy and even stand at the interview with my fiance, without question! We were only asked two questions, one of which was what I do for a living, the other was equally as simple. They said we were well prepared and organized. My fiance was also able to do his interview in French.
Just like the other reviews, you go through three windows- first to collection your confirmation, then to collect all papers, and then the actual interview. I found everyone here SUPER kind and welcoming. They also reply to emails fast.
