Dear friends, I had my interview on March 15th and I passed it! The officer was very nice and we went over the application and that was it... My oath ceremony date is unknown right now but the officer said it probably will be after 30 days. I applied based on 5 year GC

Officer asked me to read "how many Senators are there"

He told me to write "there are 100 Senators".

The civics questions were:

What is the name of our national anthem?

Why do we have 13 stripes on the flag?

What ocean is on the west coast?

What is the rule of the law?

At what age can the U.S. citizens vote?

What major event happened on 9/11?

My question is, do you get an updated status online if you are scheduled for the oath ceremony or do you just get it via mail? Since I am from NY, i may wait around 1 month?

The office gave me the Oath letter after the interview and I noticed that my status changed on the website yesterday (2 days later).

Can you share details of your interview? I'm from the December board and my interview is on the 28th. Did you apply under 3 or 5 years?

My interview was in the morning, I had to wait around 30 min for the officer. He was really nice. He sworn me in and then started to review my application and made one correction.

Then, we started with the test and he asked me six questions, I only remember one, sorry. Who is in charge of the executive branch?

For the writing test he made me write, California has the most population, If I remember correctly.

He reviewed my file while I was in his office and approved my application. Then, he asked me to wait 15 minutes to get the Oath letter.

I applied based on a 3 year GC

I had my interview today and was approved. I will take the Oath on 4/1.

I had previously been waiting since my FP back in Oct for an inline notification. My status persistently said that USCIS had received my N400 application on Sept23rd and that I'm top await further notifications.

I just saw that my online status changed to the following on Feb 19th

Can anyone verify if this actually means that my interview has already been scheduled? Or is this a standard in line for interview notification?

That's exactly what happened to me. You should receive the letter in the mail this week with time and date for your interview. Mine also took 3.5 months to be scheduled.

Did you check your Case Status on USCIS.gov? Without doing that, my husband and I would of had no idea his case was in line. He never got an email or text about it.

Well, that's weird. Usually they only send your case to the embassy/consulate once an interview date has been assigned. Are you absolutely positive it was sent? Has the AVR updated yet saying your case was shipped on so-and-so date to your embassy?

If your case has indeed been shipped, then calling NVC and asking about your interview date will be pointless as they no longer would have your case. Your only option would be DOS. Unless your embassy allows phone calls, then you can call them as well.

As for the medical, you have to make your own appointment. Most countries though require the interview letter. But I don't know any of your country's requirements, so it might be different.

I will call back today, an agent told that to us, Im not sure if is the same AVR. How can I reach the AVR?

Don't worry. You don't get a case complete email. Your next, and last, email will be of your interview date.

Only those doing EP get case complete emails.

They infofmed my husband that the documents were already send to the embassy In order to get an interview date do you recomend call DOS and the NVC or is better wait until we got the email?? Saylin, how do they let you know when to go to the DR?
