Crazycat- we will give this a shot! I did not even know it was an option. Boiler - apologies, to be more clear.. we will be overseas for the better part of three years as the location is our permanent duty station for that time period. I am not sure how long a consulate would be willing to hold our case, but at the very least it seems like that is the starting point.. thank you both for the input! -
Greetings helpful people! My wife is a US citizen, as am I. I am active duty military. We filed a petition to bring my MIL to the USA, however, during processing we were moved to an overseas location. We were just notified of the approval for an interview at the embassy in PI. My question is.. how do we proceed with regards to the rest of the process? Without having a domicile in the USA, do we have any options to extend the visa timeline? I am unsure of how to proceed without having to wait for another visa request to process.. please help! Thank you in advance!
