  1. Walang anuman po. :) I'm glad it worked out for you and Mark.

You will have the visa in your hand malapit na...handa ka na ba?!? :star:

Kaya nga eh. Salamt uli! Sana I'll have that Visa soon, so I can book a flight na! Its nearing one year na this Dec 9 that we saw each other. Nov 28, the date when we were approved was also the 1st year anniversary of our engagement! I'll see him soon :)

  2. I had my interview last Nov. 28! We were approved! Thank you so much for all the help from wonderful people in this site, I just want to share my interview experience. This may be of help to those who are still in the process...I went early, my interview schedule is at 6:30am. Here are some of the questions that were asked by both the Filipino pre screener and the American consul.

    1) My name/date of birth/age

    2) Fiance's name/date of birth/age

    3) When/where/how we met?

    4) When did he start courting me?

    5) How old is the relationship?

    6) Ways of communicating (daily phone calls, chat, emails etc)

    7) Work of my fiance- nature and employer)

    8) How he secured his US Citizenship? (thru naturalization)

Don't forget to bring all the documents needed, pictures and review the checklist as listed in the eligibility letter!

Here are some additional questions of the American consul.

    9) My current and previous work/profession

    10) wedding plans (Date, place, reception, number of guest?

The consul didn't give me a hard time. As for the final interview to the American consul, it lasted around 5 minutes, way shorter than the first interview to the Filipino pre screener! Just answer confidently! I was just in tears when he said, YOUR VISA IS APPROVED! We cant be happier! Ill soon be reunited with my fiance.......

  3. Current annualized income is what is evaluated, not last year's income. Take the weekly/monthly earnings and determine what the earnings for 2011 will be. That is the income number.

Anyone claimed as a dependent on the most recent year's tax return would be included in the household count. From what you are saying the three children are included in the household count and that raises the required income amount for the affidavit of support.

Hi! Thanks for the information. For 2010 my fiance lived with these 3 kids and on his 2010 ITR they were listed as dependent. For 2011, the kids were not living with him anymore and he didn't give any money for support. For 2011, he will not claim for these kids anymore. For the I-134 in the DEPENDENT items, will he still list the 3 kids even if they were not his dependents? Thank you...

  4. Hi everyone! Currently on our last stages of our k1 visa process. My interview will be on the 28th! And I'm freaking out. With regards to the AOS that fiance provided. I have two concerns. First is that, for 2011 obviously there is no W2 and ITR yet, his income increased from 2010 increased on 2011. My question is, for the AOS current income what will he write? The income for 2010 which was written in the W2 or the current income provided some proof of the increased salary?

My second concern is that, his brother has 7 children, so he is carrying the 3 children for income tax return credit purposes. For 2010 he carried the 3 children and that was evident on his ITS FOR 2010. For 2011, he has no plans of filing for the 3 nieces. He wrote in the I-134 form for the DEPENDENT items..I am literally freaking out! He really needed to fill out that they were his dependents? Or will affect our chances of getting approved?? Thank you so much. Any ideas and information were highly appreciated. Thank you.

  5. Hi everyone! Here is our case. We were approved Oct 4, got our case number from NVC October 12. Until now i haven't received the eligibility letter or the Packet 3. Should i call the Manila Embassy to check if they already have received our case. Thank you so much. I know by this time the eligibility letter should be on hand.

  6. Hi everyone! My fiance' called NVC and they said our case was already forwarded to US Embassy here in Manila last October 11. When will I expect the visa to arrive? Do I need to call the Embassy to asked if they already received my case? TNX

  7. It seems my fiance forgot everything but no 1, 2 and 3.

We got our data from the ucis site, but only found information about the fees and the I-129F form.

Hi!I was reading some of the posts.. and I read your comment. Just to share our experience, this happened to us. My fiance' also did this getting info on the USCIS homepage. All are telling us to wait for the RFE, so we thought it will just cause a delay, But actually it ruined everything. On the fourth month we received the NOA-2, saying we were denied because of lack of evidence... FYI. They didnt reject our petition at first, they waited 4 months to PROCESS and send us the rejection!!!! We asked for lawyer's advice, we did reapply!!!

  8. Do nothing. N proof of ongoing realtionship is needed for the petition. NONE. You will not get an RFE for proof of relationship.

3 months is nothing, you have another 2-3 months to wait.

You also need a "fiance", there are no visas for girlfriends or boyfriends.

HI!! What do you mean I will not get RFE? Maybe I have to endure 2-3 more months as you said.... Yes you are ryt, I need to practice it... "my fiance", not boyfriend!...

So definitely we will receive a feedback from the USCIS, either requesting from us an RFE, or NOA-2 and then I will undergo interview? Is that what you meant? Thank you so much...

  9. Just wait for your RFE. If you are sent one, it will list everything that you need to send so you do not have to guess what is needed. They may be asking for more than you're aware of.... Make sure you have pictures of you and your fiance together. You can send copies of hotel receipts, plane ticket receipts, passport stamps, emails, and phone records. Facebook messages are also valid. Chat or Skype logs are unfortunately not accepted.

At my fiances interview they actually pulled out the photos and looked at them.

It may take the entire 5 months for you to get an RFE. I filed July 2010 and didn't hear anything for 5 months. I called and submitted an expedited request when my 5 months was up, and that is when they sent me an RFE requesting a copy of my passport. I sent and they received it a week later. I called and submitted another expedited request, and they forwarded my petition to Vermont, where it was processed a week later.

    Best wishes!!!

HI!!! "I called and submitted an expedited request when my 5 months was up, and that is when they sent me an RFE requesting a copy of my passport. I sent and they received it a week later. I called and submitted another expedited request, and they forwarded my petition to Vermont, where it was processed a week later. " What do you mean you sent an expedited request? requesting for what? Tnx...

  10. just wait for their noticed if they want somthing from you....im a dec filer and we got rfe today!still gathering for docs that proves that we met last 2 yrs,and letter of intent.and the divorced papers that as sent was incomplete.

Thank you.. The problem we have is that, what we sent is only the payment, 129-F form, and how we met. Can we expect RFE? When can we expect it? Until when is it safe to wait for it?

What proof of relationship did your fiancé submit together with the I-129F?

We only sent the How we met part....

I am still very new to the process but I read up a lot on these forums, but I am sure if I am telling you something inaccurate someone will correct me.

From my understanding of the process you do not have to include evidence of an ongoing relationship with the I-129F. You only need to provide proof of having met in person. The proof of an ongoing relationship will need to be presented during the interview.

I believe some people have suggested including it in the packet so the consulate could have time to review it before the interview date. But I am almost certain it is not needed in the packet to receive your noa 2.

The problem we have is the only document we sent is the how we met. So we are expecting RFE? Thank you

  11. Hi everyone. I need help. I am from the Philippines. My boyfriend filed for a K-1 Visa last January 18, 2011. And we already received the NOA-1. We failed to send some of our documents to prove our ongoing relationship. Its been 3 months now, what actions that we need to do? When will we expect for the RFE? Do we need to send another application?

  12. Hi everyone! MY fiance filed for a K-1 visa, and we were both mislead by other sites, what he only sent at Texas service center was the I 129-F form plus his payment. No other evidences submitted. What actions that we can do? Is that really a problem for us? I'm kinda on a panic mode, our petition may be delayed by that action?
