You have 6 months to use your approved visa. Once you come to the States, then it's done, you can no longer leave and come back unless you have your Green Card.
You have 90 days after entry to the States to get married. Once married, you file AoS (Adjustment of Status) with USCIS. Once that is approved, you have your Green Card and can leave and re-enter the States whenever yo...

Your previous post (below) confuses me. Would have to leave the county while what process is done?
You file the I-129F. Get your NoA1. Wait for your Noa2. (Five months.) After Noa@, USCIS mails paperwork to NVC, which gives a case number and mails to Embassy. You get an interview at the Embassy, then your visa is approved. You get your visa and come to the States.

So were you the one that sat next to my man and asked, "Are you Kiwibird's fiance?"
How was your interview??
-
Yay!!! Approved!!!
-
Interview in 15 mins! I am so excited and yet, so nervous!
-
Yay! Interview scheduled! And it's sooner than I expected!
-
It's getting so close!! C'mon Consulate! Just email me that one form and we can get our Interview Date!

Mmm.. if not stressing about the Visa process, I stress about something else! This time, it's something totally unrelated to a visa! Here's to hoping I can be patient with this, too.

Your NoA2 will be coming any day now! It's probably already approved and they will notify you soon! Keep us posted!

Mmmm... I've found that my cheery attitude pre-NoA2 has been quadrupled. Now I'm going to be even MORE obnoxiously cheery, if that's possible. (I'm sure some will call me ignorant since I "don't have to wait" anymore, though. Oh well!)

I don't understand people that think I'll somehow turn into a raging, jealous, pissy brat when I hit 5 months. I think saying "I waited 5 months" is a poor excuse for such behavior. (Also, I will be just as cheery at 5 months as I was at the start.)

So bored. Don't know what to do with my time! I already arranged a packet so it'll be in the mail the day I get the RFE or denial. It's so pretty... with tabs and everything!
-
As much respect I have to MLK Day, I really wish USCIS were still open today!
-
28 days. Still waiting to hear if I'm gonna get a denial or and RFE. I think I'm the only one here on VJ HOPING for an RFE! (Better that than a denial!)

I don't understand people who choose to wallow in their misery. Having a positive attitude is not a crime, and I'll choose hope over depression any day, thanks!

Been waiting over two years to get him here, but NOA1 is dated 9/14.
I'm having a hard time with this forum. Seems some people want to remain miserable and get defensive if you say a positive attitude is better than a hopeless one. I don't get why people want to wallow in misery.
