Roxana and I met on Las Palmas beach in Esmeraldas, during Carnaval of 2007. I was in my first year as a Peace Corps volunteer, and the next year and a half was the best year of my life. We tried to part ways when I left in '08, but obviously that didn't work very well. So now, despite virtually unanimous opposition from family and friends, we're gonna try to make it happen in the US. Wish us luck :)
