So just an update. We got an expedited appt for July 6th (due to my dad's illness). The interview was easy. But it took almost two weeks to get the visa. Immigration took 5 hours at POE and he made it here July 23rd after spending the night in Miami.

Got an Appointment! August 3rd.

Hey! To all the other DR K1'ers with similar timelines, what are the first few numbers of your NVC #? Mine is 2011609.xxx. I'm wondering if the 2011 signifies the type of visa (rather than the year). Looking at the June appointment list, it looks like things are somewhat chronological.

But thanks for the update Suleica. I wonder if that means we will definitely get July dates.

Called around 3:20 today. No appointment. Just posting for others in the same boat. I know we're all watching to see when things start moving again.

Hmmm. I'm hoping to be able to get the appointment date before then. Makes planning vacation time at work a bit difficult.

called around 4:15 today. no cita. tomorrow's the end of the first week of June. Maybe they mean the first full week of June.

Called NVC late this afternoon today. Still no appt.

Yes! So frustrating. I'm not sure exactly what day my petition arrived at the embassy. Probably the 10th or 11th.
