    NVC Filers - April 2011

    I called NVC on Friday 5/20/11 and was told that my case was complete and waiting to be assigned a Interview date. I also got a SIF starting on Friday morning. However, today I received an email RFE that my Police Clearance certificate was missing. In my DS-230 submission I had mentioned that PCC is generally available only after IV approval (from my wife's passport office in India) and my wife will be bringing that to the interview. I was told by three different operators over a one week period that this was OK. Should I call them and have them reconsider? Should I email them the response? Has anyone else gone through this situation?

    i would not worry about it... i also got an RFE for PCC but i actually got it and submitted it to NVC before my case was complete...

    now u can take that RFE print out and get ur PCC done... thats what we had to do to... they wouldnt issue us a PCC without it...

    and congrats on CC... now the wait is on for the interview date... im just 3 days ahead of u... lets see how close do they schedule us for an interview... good luck...

    Hyderabad PCC from Passport office question

    Hello,

    Can someone from India who got a PCC from passport office post a sample of the contents. Here is what my letter states from Hyderabad passport office and they mention they are using this format for past 30 years.

    POLICE CLEARANCE CERTIFICATE

    There is no adverse information against Mr. xxxxx h/o w/o Mrs YYYY holder or passport No. XXXXXXX issued on xx/xx/xxxx at HYDERABAD which would be render him/her ineligible for grant of travel facilities including visa for UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

    this is what it states. that's all. anyone else from India who got a PCC from passport office got it in the above format because they mentioned this format is consistent across all passport offices in India, can someone please confirm?

    Choice Of Address and Agent

    I just recieved a email from the nvc stating choice of address and agent and there is a form for me to fill out with the info of whoever i pick to be the one to recieve mailing about my immigrant visa the question i have is that do i have to print this email out and then fill it out and mail it in or my wife the (PITIONER) could fax it to me and i could fill it out and send it back to her so she could mail it from inside the U S because the mailing system in my country is not the best thank you for your input in advance..And also if there is some way i could do it email that would be nice just please explain to how to do so...

    I saw in your timeline that you received a RFE for PCC, what was this RFE about for the PCC? and what should we send for PCC to NVC? and can you let me know all the documents that you sent to NVC with DS-230 and AOS & did you send in the originals?

    well as u know u will need ur PCC... and from reading here most of the time people were able to get their PCC just by showing their barcoded page... well my wife is from gujarat and here local police station said she will need a "Checklist letter" from NVC for them to issue a PCC... and the only way u can get that checklist letter is if u get an RFE from NVC...

    well i did get the Checklist letter and my wife got her PCC without any problem...

    but later i found out that u can submit ur PCC at the time of the interview and u dont have to send it in...

    okay with AOS... u will need ur Taxtranscripts for the past 3 yrs..., i also sent in copies of paystubs, Employment letter and since i had a joint sponsor... i had my uncle send in his 2010 tax return and letter of assurance from him..

    as for DS-230... original... Marriage Certificate, Birth Certificate, copy of passport Biography page, PCC

    and if ur marriage certificate is in anyother language other than english then u will need an attested translation...

    in india i think a notary guy can do it...

    NVC: Awaiting appointment date

    My wife`s case was completed at NVC on the 22nd of April but still no interview date.

    I called NVC today and was told that they are scheduling appointments during the second week of the month. The second week is over and they were not able to schedule the interview date for June and we have to wait another month when they schedule interviews for July.

    It is really frustrating.

    Does anyone know what is approximate appointment waiting time for Moscow, Russia? Is it possible that they will not schedule it in the next month? Is there anything I can/should do in this situation?

    It is follow-to-join procedure. EB2 category. Consulate in Moscow, Russia.

    Appreciate any kind of input.

    same thing with me but my case was recently completed and hopeing for a schedule date in july... no date in june...

    i guess we are at the mercy of NVC to schedule our appointments...

    NVC # recieved but what about ds 3032?

    i asked them if they generated a ds 3032 bill yet and they said no. BTW seeing as you are a fellow india petitioner, do you know how the mailing system works, cause i belive i gave CIS the wrong pin code but right address, and since they have towns without recognizable pin codes, i guess the address will just work?.

    zip code of india... is that what ur asking?

    once u give emails in ur DS3032 form all the paperwork will be done through email...

    I did submitted a request for Expedite about 3 days ago. Now was this response for my Entire case or Just expedite request ?

    it looks like ur expedite was approved... congrats...

    now u might want to send in rest of the paperwork to ur spouses so it can be submitted at the time of the interview...

    Case completed ?

    I recieved following email from NVC , does this mean my case is enroute to Counsulate ? Bcuz when I called NVC they said they are still waiting on DS 230.

    "Dear Sir/Madam: Your inquiry has been received at the National Visa Center (NVC). TheNVC has completed its processing of the visa petition you mentioned inyour letter and has forwarded the petition to the assigned USEmbassy/Consulate General for further processing. Please be advised that further forms and/or fees may still be requestedby the US Embassy/Consulate to complete the processing of this case. Anyfurther inquiries should be directed to the assigned US Embassy orConsulate General."

    Did u request for an Expedite...

    if yes then ur case might have been forwarded to the embassy... and thats where u will submit the rest of the forms and ur originals..

    but from ur signature it looks like a regular processing at NVC...

    Packet 3 (New Delhi)

    I was wondering if anyone had information for me regarding packet 3 and packet 4. Yesterday my fiancee went to the United States Embassy in New Delhi to submit packet 3. The guards told her to go to AREA 1 of the immigrant visa section, upon her arrival at area 1 the guy at the counter said to put your packet 3 in the envelope and we will send it to the department which handles processing packet 3. My question is how long does it take once packet 3 is submitted to recieve packet 4. Can I send an email asking them to quickly schedule an interview becaus e I have sent my fiancee all the required documents. If there is any information out there regarding packet 4 and how long it takes to get an interview after packet 3 is submitted I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

    First of all i have to say this site is very good but i been reading up on what the NVC job really is.. My real question is when they say after getting your case number from the nvc it is send to an u s embassy 2wks after do they really send it seeing that all the info they ask us to send ex ds-3230 aos and ds230 are sent to the nvc, could some clear this up for me please on how it really works thanks...

    Once USICS approves ur petition.... the u get ur NOA2...

    after that ur file is sent to NVC...

    once ur file is at NVC... u fill out Choice of Agent Form - DS-3032...

    u have to pay ur AOS & DS-230 Fees...

    Send in ur AOS form

    and also u send ur Actual Visa Application - DS-230..

    the whole process takes about 4-6 weeks...

    NVC schedules the interview unless it is an expedite. If it's an expedite, the Consulate/Embassy will schedule it. Hope this helps.

    Thanks it does help... now I will start calling them and see if they can get me in for June interview...

    do the phone operators have any authority to schedule the interview or will i need to call other people in NVC...

    if other people the any suggestions where do i start from...

    but i wanna know, this is just the sample, i shouldnt be donwloading it and filling it to my husband, do i have to wait till they send me the form or what???

    how can i interact with em with email??since i didnt not send the G1145
