i wonder where the rhetoric about “saving democracy” comes from? Oh, right. From the left. The reason nary a peep has been heard from Democrats, apart from the generic patter about political violence, is because they know they are the root cause of this man’s attempt to assassinate a presidential candidate.

Despite their protestations, it is the rhetoric from Democrats which is leading to the anti-democratic violence in this country. It’s funny, really, how all of the white nationalists, Christian fundamentalists and neo-Nazis so far haven’t even been rumoured to have conspired against the Democrat candidate. It’s almost as if their threat is a disinformation conspiracy perpetrated by the Washington machine and propagandised by the mainstream media.

You do realise that a second Trump term would be a disaster for Putin? The Ukraine war is being prosecuted using an outdated political strategy. Limited war is no longer the answer, but global political leadership hasn’t seemed to grasp this concept. There is a reason that Russia didn’t go after Ukraine in Trump’s first term, why China ramped up its passive/aggressive notary exercises around Taiwan and why Iran was quieter. He is a disruptor. He understands that economic measures are far more effective in prosecuting political objectives than direct, or indirect, military action. So, any way Putin can be seen to damage Trump’s reelection chances really has to be seen as genuine. Because the Russian connection to Trump is, and always has been, a DNC disinformation operation.
