You do realise that a second Trump term would be a disaster for Putin? The Ukraine war is being prosecuted using an outdated political strategy. Limited war is no longer the answer, but global political leadership hasn’t seemed to grasp this concept.
There is a reason that Russia didn’t go after Ukraine in Trump’s first term, why China ramped up its passive/aggressive notary exercises around Taiwan and why Iran was quieter. He is a disruptor. He understands that economic measures are far more effective in prosecuting political objectives than direct, or indirect, military action.
So, any way Putin can be seen to damage Trump’s reelection chances really has to be seen as genuine. Because the Russian connection to Trump is, and always has been, a DNC disinformation operation.
