Day One for Our Next GOP President
Pooky replied to TBoneTX's topic in Current Events and Hot Social Topics
It doesn’t go anywhere near far enough 😞 And deleting the browse history on the presidential computer? Why? What’s on there must be comedy gold! 🤣 -
The problem isn’t in the aerial capabilities of the F-16. They will easily outperform the junk the Ukrainian Air Forces are currently using. The problem is the airfields. Soviet/Russian aircraft are designed to be robust, because the airfields are usually a little (lot) on the rough side. You do not want to be landing a Viper on anything other than a smooth surface. The landing gear will not cope with that kind of abuse. A better bet would be the F-18 Hornet, which has way sturdier landing gear for carrier landings/naval aviator abuse. However, their availability is limited and, despite what Top Gun Maverick would have you believe, they’re not as good in air-to-air as the F-16.

He can demand all he wants. NATO will fast track Ukraine’s membership only once the conflict in Ukraine is over. NATO’s primary purpose is intended as a deterrent. Inducting a new member embroiled in an active conflict is tantamount to declaring war on their opposition and that is something NATO is not about to do.

Looking at this from a purely political point of view, I believe the current administration and the Democrat part as a whole will not have a problem letting this case slide until after the election. Delay gives them a ready-made talking point through the 2024 election cycle, should DJT be the GOP nominee, and, should he regain the White House, his next term’s Russigate hoax substitute. The downside to this strategy is that it is glaringly obvious and will lead to more criticism of the DOJ as a partisan, politicized arm of the current administration. But there is so much of this going on already, I really doubt they will give a Flying Burrito Brother about the optics.

Carry on was 50’s into the 70’s, with the main run ending in 1978. There was an additional one made in 1992, but we don’t mention that one -

What it is the country famous for a little boy sticking his finger in a dike 😙 -
All of which has absolutely nothing to do with an attorney at the DOJ purposely redacting all references to DJT cooperating with Grand Jury sublpoenas. They had to know that the truth would come out at some point, so why was it done? To obfuscate what actually happened, increase the public perception of wrongdoing and nothing else. The non-cooperation/obstruction was big news when the DOJ’s games began. It gave the semblance of justification for the heavy-handed raid on Mar-a-Lago. If they had been honest, the likelihood is that there would have been far more criticism of the whole operation. But now, the damage has been done and the repercussions will be muted. Job done for the DOJ’s partisans. Which begs this question. Is it still the Department of Justice. Or should we rename it the Department of Convict President Trump At All Costs?

When you take away the redactions made by the DOJ, the picture regarding DJT’s cooperation vs. obstruction changes more than a little. https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2023/07/revealed-corrupt-doj-prosecutor-caught-trying-bribe-lawyer/?fbclid=IwAR2t7BUzWiDAfqroz3TspEv45UIqayrBGtf6pbT4CRwn7GLHvhllr1slyB8_aem_AftjToXkgqoVAPmmVCfdUt9AugFsZ30nhySiiNaF_GxhFbLMr4J9Gv_8pk7R5YpAhfE Still, the original impression has had time to sink into the public consciousness and the desired damage is done. Truth be damned.

The teachers’ unions have long-since deviated from the role advocating for teachers’ best interests, to protecting teachers from responsibility from the results of their left-wing ideology. Until unions return to their origin purpose of representing their members and depart the arena of policy advocacy, I can not, in good conscience, support union their continued existence.

Democrats' Insidious Assault on 'Our Democracy'
Pooky replied to TBoneTX's topic in Current Events and Hot Social Topics
Every day the Democrat party veers closer to the ideals of National Socialism. Exchange the black shirts of Antofagasta, for the brown of the Sturmabteilung and the similarities grow even more apparent. -
It wasn’t just the DOJ that he was up against. The majority of the apparatus of government, as well as the mainstream edit, leans left. On top of that, and because the GOP endorses groupthink a fair bit less that the Democrats, he was faced with significant opposition from within his own party. DJT faced opposition from the entire Washington machine, because he was an outsider, not one of them, and a disruptor. The mountain of obstacles he faced from all sides was unprecedented for a President. Right now, the media machine is in full flow with stories about the last President, as much related and unrelated ####### as they can publish, to distract from the 800lb gorilla in the room. They know that if they don’t run DJT stories, they might have to do their job and focus on the most corrupt President and administration in modern history. As it is, the walls are still closing in. So the story about the White House meeting gets thrown out there to throw shade on the last President and give the appearance of wrongdoing, even if nothing remotely criminal actually happened. Because if they didn’t, they might need to look at criminality that did, by the current occupant of the White House. And the Washington machine can’t let that happen.

Elon Musk is that type of person the status quo favoring establishment cannot abide - a disruptor. He innovates, he keeps moving outside it the established business track, he has an opinion and he’s not afraid to share it, or act upon it. His business acumen basically kickstarted mainstream EVs in the USA, yet the green meanies hate him because he doesn’t follow the progressive groupthink and took Twitter out of the government censorship realm. The part about him I admire the most is that he just doesn’t care.

All of which is vastly different to threatening a defendant’s attorney that their application to be a D.C. Superior Court judge could be impacted if he could not get his client to testify against Trump. Courts take a very dim view of that tactic, which, if found to have merit, can constitute attempted witness tampering, attempted federal bribery, attempted extortion by a federal official, or attempted subornation of perjury, all of which are serious federal crimes. This has got precisely nothing to do with detective work.
