Nope, it is not part of the civil documents that is required for you to submit at NVC, but it was asked from me by the pre-screener at the time of my interview. Just to be prepared for any circumstances that may arise. Good luck!

Mitch, as an attachement to your I-864, you may also want to send them a certificate of employment and paystubs for 6 months. This helps the reviewer in determining that the petitioner is "domiciled" in the States. I hope this helps. Good Luck!

when you get cenomar and you are already married..it will be written there..maybe the USEM wants to make sure that you're only married to one person (which is the petitioner)..

That is right odne! They want to make sure how many times who you were married. So if you were married more than once, just show them that the prior marriages was annulled already

CR(1) means the postion of the Central Ray on your chest when the X-ray was done. Don't worry too much OK? Try to get some rest before your interview. Relax and enjoy the experience. Have a lot of patience at the Embassy, because it will be a loooooooooooooong wait before you're interviewed by a Consul. Good luck!

Don't worry, the important data there that has to be correct is your name and date of birth. When is the schedule of your interview?

Just a heads up.. Even if you're married, bring a copy of a Certificate of No Marriage (CENOMAR) on your interview.

That's good news for me, my PD is September 2008!!! Ur so lucky coz ur case go so smoothly... I taught ur PD is late 2007 coz Odne's PD is October 2007... Thanks alit! My priority date is February 2008, but to tell you frankly, your priority date has nothing to do with the case completion of your case at NVC and the scheduling of your interview. Once your case is current and your case is "documentarily qualified", NVC will forward your case to the Embassy already. Another tip, Make sure to complete all documents before you send them to NVC. Try to avoid a Request for Further Evidence as this will slow down the processing of your case. Once all your document are in order, NVC will surely always complete your case after 2 weeks from the date that they entered your documents into their system.

Yipee!!! Got my visa today. After almost 3 years... Wish me luck on my new life in America. God bless us all in this journey!

Hi Raymon! The interview went very well. Just a tip for those who are going to be interviewed, bring all your documents, even if you already submitted it at the NVC. I won't post my interview experience, 'cause it is so similar to the ones that were already posted here. Tell your spouse to just relax and enjoy the experience Good luck on your journey too! Don't worry, your mail has been delivered at NVC on a Saturday and no one would receive your mail because NVC is only open Monday-Friday. NVC will just pick-up your mail on Monday at the post office.

Just finished my medical exam at SLMEC.. Now, on with the interview!

To tell you frankly, I really don't know how that happened. I just sent my documents to the NVC and luckily I didn't get a RFE. After 2 weeks the review was completed. I think it has to do with the timing that you send your documents also. NVC schedules interviews on the second week of every month.

Good news! Just got my interview letter today! I was not expecting it, because my case was just completed 2 weeks ago! God is so good!

hello guys, i just received an email from nvc and is requesting for the copy of income tax return for 2009.. i dont know what happened but i did attached that to the one that i sent... its all there. if they are asking for an official copy from the IRS that i can do without a hard time. but would i have to send them another set of the affidavit of support with all the supporting documents that comes with it??/???? or i just have to send the barcoded email with my tax return and thats it/???? pls everyone, help me..... pls..........

nvc is requesting for 2009 tax return and the rest of DS-230 and they put my step son's name only. why just his name? and not my husband which is the principal beneficiary???/?? im gonna call them tomorrow but an answer from you guys will ease all the worries that i have and will have till i can get a hold of nvc.

Just send your income tax return copies for the year 2009. Attach the barcode that came with the RFE email.

Thank you, Odne. My PD is 18Feb2008. My wife sent in the I-864 and the DS-230 at the same time, and it was received by the NVC on June 18, 2010. It took exactly 2 weeks for NVC to review the documents.

i download it already but my son has no barcoded sheet do we have a seperate barcoded sheet? pls help info is much appreciated....

If your son is a derivative beneficiary, then you don't have to print a seperate barcode sheet, but you have to accomplish a seperate DS-230 form for him.

I just called NVC today, and the automated voice message tells me that my case was completed today. Starting the 8 week wait...

Log-in at the Department of State online payment, click select on IV service, and then click on "print document cover sheet" located at the bottom.

As soon as the IV fee bill status has changed to "PAID", you can now print the barcoded cover sheet and download and fill out the form DS-230, Application for immigrant visa and alien registration parts 1 & 2. It usually takes 1 to 2 weeks before NVC enters the form I-864 into their system. Try calling them after 2 weeks to see if they already entered your Affidavit of Support in their system.
