  1. Congratulations! Awesome news to hear and thanks for the detailed secondhand review of the process.
  2. I have a similar issue, we have a trip planned end of June, interview May 2nd. I am pretty sure (others here will correct me) that if you are approved and they offer same day Oath Ceremony you will have everything needed to apply that day for an expedited service to get a US passport. I am hoping for this as well.
  3. I don't know what drives the quicker or slower interview times, could be a Field Office thing or the type of application maybe (combo vs single). I filed Jan 17, received interview notice in my USCIS online, March 27 for a May 2nd interview. I filed N400 only and my FO is Denver. Keep the faith, it will happen.
  4. Congratulations! Awesome story. I too hope that May 2nd will be the end of my journey with the USCIS.
  5. Here's a good one for you, filed 2022 taxes (finally and before deadline with no extensions like last year) and as I submitted online my 2017 & 2018 returns, I wanted to get the IRS tax transcripts. Used the phone system and IRS can only provide transcripts back to 2019. Looks like the IO is going to have a very large tax return package to go along with the rest of my documentation.
  6. Denver filers, has anyone had their N400 interview at the Weaver Place, Centennial location? Is it the only location for us? How was it? Do they do same day oath on approval? Anything I should be aware of (interview scheduled May 2nd)
  7. Just saw this post, I only received a 24 month extension, wonder why that is and why you got twice that? Just curious, hopefully it's all irrelevant now that interview is scheduled.
  8. Thanks, did some digging and found the request form, so will mail that off as soon as I can print and get it signed. Hopefully they accept transcripts and not the full blown returns as that is what I submitted during application.
  9. I actually have the transcripts that were available on the IRS site, hoping to file for 2022 soon so will have that. By ordering, are you saying I can contact the IRS and order the older ones as well?
  10. Felt like my case had gone cold, especially with the jump up to 7 months. I just hate the idea of printing out entire tax returns to take with me (I didn't know about the tax transcripts until after I submitted).
  11. So, interesting thing today, logged into my USCIS account for a random check and it said my processing time had increased to 7 months, which was a big surprise as it was at 5 months. Then I noticed a case status update saying that my interview has been scheduled March 27th and a letter for the interview notice is being mailed. Checked documents and the interview letter is there, printed it off and have a date of May 2nd!

  13. Congratulations! How long from application submission to getting your notice for the interview? I filed 3days after you so we are pretty close in time.
  14. Great to see some January filers getting movement on their applications!
  15. Interesting, had to create a new account with the IRS to get transcripts (wish I'd known that before uploading entire tax returns in my application). I can only get transcripts for the last 3 returns (not counting 2022 which I haven't submitted yet), is this similar to others here?

  17. Heading out of state next week, hoping no interview scheduled for when I'm away.
  18. Logging in to USCIS account and estimated processing time has come down to 5 months now.
  19. I'm not sure how to get those, I have submitted personally every year except 1 (which I believe has a tax transcript).
  20. Question on that, did you print out your entire tax return or some of it? That seems like a rather excessive amount of physical evidence to bring and review, so if we can bring a smaller printout that would be awesome.
  21. I was going to use the USCIS send a message and see if it would shake something loose. How do you sign up for the updates? Is it the same as the 2 step verification that you get when you signed up into the USCIS and submitted an online case or something different?
  22. Question, do you have to notify USCIS if you are out of state in case an appointment scheduled comes in? I'm assuming if it happens while I'm away it's on me to get back to the appointment. Edit: Should I send them a note saying I will be out of state and essentially poke them to find out status of my case?
  23. But you have the interview, most important. Best of luck.
  24. I have seen folks post about 2022 taxes being filed and bringing the summary filing report.
