Not sure if I posted here along with the January N-400 thread but here is my update:
Filed N-400 Jan 17, received physical letters for Bio-reuse and GC extension letter (both dated Jan 17, 2023) approx 1 & 1/2 weeks later.
Case decision time has gone from 19 months to 10 to 8.
I live north of Denver so hoping I get an interview date. Based on filers here it is between 4-8 months from what I have seen, does this sound right for Denver?
So, how long roughly, are filers seeing interview dates set?
Also, since they reverted back to the 2008 civics question set, how are people studying (printed entire set as well as used online USCIS tests).
Happy days, two letters from USCIS in the mailbox.
I797 NOA dated 01/17/2023 for application receipt and I551 Green Card extension notice.
I 797C NOA dated 01/17/2023 for notice of biometrics reuse.
Much happier now.
Coming up on 2 weeks since filing and zero movement, hoping I'll have something in paper form next week but not holding my breath.
Putting a lot of plans on hold for the year as they involve travel outside of the US.
Some of the timelines are for folks wwho have similar times as me getting reuse notices as well as people here with 3-5 years only.
Pretty sure my delay is because I have the added pain of a criminal record.
Curious to know what the mix is for receiving Biometrics notice day of application and later.
Seen a few timeliness with same day reuse and others with 2 weeks post filing notices.
Hoping for 0 issues with the GC extension letter, we are looking at a cruise in the sunner for my daughter's brithday and current dates looking at are outside of my GC expiration date...
Weirdest case update this morning, received an action notice email for my case early in the morning. Checked actual case status and nothing different from yesterday, anyone else seen this before?
My country list includes Vietnam, China, Malaysia, Japan & Korea. Vietnam & Malaysia were the destinations & the rest were stopovers.
With some of the questions on the applocation, I'm probably over thinking where work took me.
Submitted my application today and I was curious if the amount of days outside of the country in the past 3 or 5 years has an impact on your application.
I ended with almost 90 days out of the country in the last 5 years, mainly due to my previous job requiring it.
Has anyone seen or had issues with too much time out of the country?
I filed! January 17 is my filing date. Checking case status it shows 16 months 😬
I am very concerned about this due to my criminal history but I'm hoping and praying that with the amount of time since the incident and collecting character references as well as having a family I will be ok.
