No fee for EAD and AP...IF filed with AOS. There is a fee if released after filing for AOS.

A whole 5 minutes. I think it took longer to get through security than it did for the interview.
Last night my wife and I were going through some sample questions we found here on VJ, and although my wife's English is pretty good, she thought she would be more comfortable with a translator. So we called our brother-in-law (non-US citizen) to join us during the interview.
They swore in our brother-in-law first, then my wife and I together. The interviewer told us our case was pretty simple and proceeded to ask for our wedding certificate, her birth certificate, and both our IDs. He went over some of the details in our documents, and just made sure all our documents were accounted for. He then asked, in summary, if my wife committed any crimes, lied to the US government, threatened anybody, yadda yadda yadda. After that, he said those were all the questions he had. He took my wife's I-94 from her passport, stapled it to our folder, and told us any additional correspondence will be through mail...in case he missed something.
He then handed us a letter stating as much, and that he only had one thing to do before having her green card produced - check her criminal record. If that's clean he would approve her document by the end of the week, and she would have her card in 3-6 weeks, he said.
He did not take her EAD, which we received just last Friday. He never asked for it either. So, we're both pretty happy how smooth the interview went, and I'm hoping the same for all of you. Good luck!

I'm not sure if this answers your question directly, but it took about 2-3 weeks after biometrics to get our interview appointment.
-
We were told we had to use the maiden name until it was changed in the system. I'm not sure at what point the name is changed in the system, but we're going to try a name change once the EAD is issued.

We did the same thing. Thankfully though, the manager at the facility allowed my wife to go through without the marriage certificate. We're attaching a copy to her passport from now on.

They are the same number and you will find it on the white I-94 card (usually on the back) stapled near the K-1 visa, in the passport.

My wife was in a similar situation.
What you're looking for, for the vaccination supplement, is form DS-3025. It says on the form for the doctor to give you a copy. They obviously didn't do that, so, contact them and ask for the copy you are due. A faxed or e-mailed copy should be fine.
If it is marked "complete", you're good to go, and that's likely all you need for the vaccination supplement. However, if it's marked "incomplete", you likely need to have it transcribed by a local Civil Surgeon. You'll have to find one who will do only the transcription (I had my wife's done for $15).

The instructions state the three previous tax returns must be included.

I'm in the process of putting together our packet for AOS
I've basically got the list bellow: just wanted to be sure I didn't need any extra stuff, like declerations, extra photos or anything like that, mostly as the instructions arent clear for when you file for AP and EAD along with AOS
I will have:
1. Check in the amount of $1070.00 for application fee (Form I-485 and Biometrics).
2. Form G-1145, E-notification of Application/Petition acceptance
3. Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status.
4. Copy of non US Citizen’s passport (Biographical page, Visa, Entry Stamps).
5. Copy of non-US Citizen’s I-94.
6. I-797, Notice of action – approved application/petition form I-129F.
7. Copy of Birth Certificate of non-US Citizen.
8. Copy of Certificate of Marriage.
9. Form G-325A Biographic Information filled out by non-US Citizen, signed and dated.
10. Two passport-type photos of the non-US Citizen Spouse.
11. Form I-693 Medical Examination of Alien seeking adjustment of status
12. Form I-864, Affidavit of Support and Supporting documents
o US Tax Return forms W2 of the most recent tax year of US Citizen
o Bank Statement as evidence of assets for financial support
13. Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization.
14. Form I-131, Application for Travel Document.
Thanks
You need (6) total. (2) for I-485, (2) for I-765, and (2) for I-131.

My logic train was like this...
Medical needed? Per I-485 instructions, no, but a Vaccination Supplement is needed (DS-3025).
We didn't have a copy of DS-3025, so we requested one from the doctor. It says on this form to give a copy to the applicant. Luckily we received a copy.
However, ours was marked "incomplete", even though it looked complete to us, so... We had DS-3025 transcribed by a Surgeon General to I-693 for $15, and sent both with our I-485 as our Vaccination Supplement.
We only chose to have DS-3025 transcribed because it was marked incomplete by the previous doctor.

What documents, not relating to AOS per say, should my fiancée bring to the US?
Birth Certificate
Driver's License
Insurance Documents
What else?

Is that acronym a joke? It's almost too appropriate.

I don't know about France specifically, but when I've compared pricing I've always chosen (http://www.ipsparcel.com/).
Hope that helps.

And remember the positive reinforcement needs to be heavy, initially, as you practice at home.

My fiancée intends on continuing her business, abroad, after she moves here to the States. I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction as far as a bank that would make it easier for her to handle the finances of her business here in the States? What kind of restrictions we should anticipate? Or if there are any alternatives?
Thanks for any help in advance.

Every embassy is different, and if it isn't noted to return the documents in advance, then yes, you'll bring them with you to the interview.
Just make sure you schedule the medical with enough time for them to turn around the documents you'll need for the interview.

Figure out what flight you are on, then book her on the same flight (use flight number and departure/arrival time etc to make sure it's the same). Then call the airline and ask to have your seats moved together. Voila!
It really is that simple, isn't it?

I need some help and thought you guys could save me some time.
Before my fiancée enters with her K-1 visa, I'm traveling to her country and we'll return to the US together.
My question is, what options do I have to ensure we're on the same return flight together.
I ask because many of the online bookers don't have the options of adding a second passenger mid trip.
Any insight on how I should go about this?
Thank you!

Have I told anyone how they should feel? I don't think so.
Perhaps not directly, but are you aware of your implication? Another life lesson I've taken, is to not worry about things that are outside of your control. And certainly how someone else wants to express themselves, about the process, would be one of those things, no?

If there's one thing I've learned in life, it's to never tell people how they should feel.
Good luck!

Stop believing such nonsense... and best to stop perpetuating it as well
What exactly are you insinuating? Nevertheless, you struck my curiosity enough to ask my friend who traveled with her Brazilian fiancé, where my belief came from. They entered through Houston, and yup, both were asked questions. Basic questions about their partner, but yes, both were asked questions. So I'll continue believing that, thank you.

The embassy will send the beneficiary a checklist, once those items are complete, then you schedule the interview. You can call the embassy to see what's on the checklist, so you can get an early jump on any items you haven't already begun to compile, but whether or not the embassy is willing to do that is embassy specific...it seems.
Travel with AP after interview and GC in production?
in Adjustment of Status (Green Card) from K1 and K3 Family Based Visas
Posted
I can't make heads or tails of the info on VJ, so can someone help me.
Can my wife travel after our AOS interview, and while her GC is in production? We still have her EAD/AP card. I'm assuming it is still valid during the wait for the GC. Is this true?
Thanks in advance.
