  1. I’m sorry I’m confused - which two birds? are you saying it’s better to do the online marriage together while in the Philippines?
  2. Seems to be a lot of insight in these forums I’m sure we could come up with a unified petition to send to US Congress members.
  3. How they choose to process is based on their attempt to portray the illusion of privacy when in reality they could connect to the intelligence databases and verify our information
  4. they do not connect to the databases that are used by the CIA, NSA, FBI. And require you to communicate between agencies for them. their attitude is that they are providing a benefit that you have to pay for at every step when tax money has already paid for it as for the USCIS, the CATO institute did a study which said that COVID was not a valid excuse for the present situation - not that the wait times were acceptable before COVID any institution without legal requirements to perform and without competition will likely be as slow and painful as the USCIS The wait times cause harm to families and individuals… and the processes need to be completely spelled out and transparent so that they can’t be abused by agents due to their emotional whims
  5. They already spy on everything we do and keep a unified database.. this is about making you pay for the illusion of privacy…
  6. That’s what my attorney told me too. and they aren’t required to do a good job the entire centralization scheme is UN-American I'm sure a private company could blow them away
  7. That’s what I want to verify. I’ve already verified with a US immigration attorney that it doesn’t have to be registered in the Philippines - but.. who knows about the CFO and Immigration people in the Philippines - they may have their own requirements. it’s not very difficult to register it in the Philippines at the SF consulate - but I prefer to avoid any entanglements with that country as much as possible - it has always been a nightmare to deal with in terms of laws and infrastructure…
  8. We need to develop political initiates to get congress to pass laws to enact oversight over the USCIS to ensure ; timely processing a transparent rules-based approach competition for performance improvements competition for lower fees
  9. To do the online marriage the sponsor and spouse do not have to be physically in the USA apparently.
  10. It looks like it’s possible to get an online marriage, for example “virtualmarriage.com” and then register this marriage in the Philippines through the San Francisco consulate in the USA. Stipulation - you must “consummate” the marriage by meeting in person after the marriage before it can be used for immigration purposes according to US law. but how will the Philippine immigration at the airport as well as the CFO treat this approach? for the US government - CR1/IR1 visa you don’t have to register the marriage in the Philippines but will the Philippines government require it to be registered with them?
