besides the CFO stamp on the visa, does immigration require any other documents or evidence?

I have tax transcripts for 2021, 2022, 2023 but haven't received all my documents yet to be able to file the 2024 taxes yet My wife will have her embassy interview on 2-12 Will my W2s be enough to satisfy the requirements for 2024?

why might the embassy give less than 6 months? (I’m guessing they are going by 6 months from the date of the medical exam)??

My wife was told at SLEC that immigration may not honor the validity of the medical through the 6 month period and that it’s risky to try to leave the Philippines close to the expiration date. aren’t they legally obligated to honor the medical exam clearance for 6 months? can immigration at the airport decide arbitrarily how long her medical exam is good for?

I wonder if it really matters unless you intend to live in the Philippines - because if you are divorced in the US where marriage occurred maybe you would be able to remarry in the US regardless of the PH government - I’m not looking to divorce or expecting a bad spouse but it’s good to make this known for the process.

So here’s a question related to this process; if you file a ROM for a US marriage does a US divorce also dissolve a PH marriage? what if your partner cheats or becomes abusive - it would be a real drag to have to go there to the PH to try to get an annulment to get away from that…

What would be helpful is developing petitions to police the USCIS through congressional laws as well as ideas about how it could be improved - for example ; Online databases of information to be verified rather than making people pay ridiculous fees to print out documents to send from one department to another…

yes and the work permit application takes a long time, it's probably not worth filing at this time and just waiting for the AOS to finish unless they can speed things up yep the zoom wedding looks to be the best way, but the problem is filing a ROM with the Philippines and having more legal ties to that country which is never a good idea in my experience the USA is bad enough with puppet politicians and corruption but the Philippines is much worse with a less engaged public and almost entirely celebrity media

CFO is a nightmare these days, one lady in my fiance's class had a PSA certificate of marriage but they wouldn't accept it as evidence unless she brought the receipt she got when she paid for it... where is that requirement posted for all to see?

9a is only needed if you plan to stay longer than the temporary visa they give on arrival to US citizens, is that correct? is there a reason to get a 9a if you only plan to go there for a couple weeks to consummate the marriage?

are you sure about this? I asked a US immigration attorney this question, and he said the if we get married online we can't file the k1 visa even if it hasn't been consummated yet

and why can't they provide a temporary work permit with a k1 visa? seems to be inhumane to make someone wait a year before being able to work
