  1. you don;t need a lawyer on this one even i my self the beneficiary did this from the start and my hubby the petitioner just sit there and just paid the fee bills... while all i know for a fact that every one here in this forum are the petitioners... they even made this all possible and has reached case completed without hiring lawyers at all.. again take it from me the principal applicant (beneficiary) did this processing all by myself. :)so i bet you too can do it! no need to hire a lawyer it's going to cost you a lot. and all they do is ask this and that papers which everybody here in vj did. so i am pretty sure you can do it yourself just put your mind in the right track and a help of a prayer that should be it:)

Thank you soo much for the reply, I am on it now BTW do you what documents should i attach with the forms, Is it 3 year tax return and pay stubs recent just making sure.

I didn't hire a lawyer on my forms, its ok but sometimes tricky though..but u will be fine filling out the forms.. if u have any concerns u can always ask our fellow VJ'rs here..am sure they will be more than happy to help all of us here.. goodluck and God bless

cool thanks for the reply buddy what are the docs to be attached, just want to make i am on the right track

  2. Hi Lynn.

    Are you an LPR?

Are you petitioning your spouse/ children?

I saw that you just sent your I-130 January of this year.

    Mine is Feb 2010.

If you already received your fee bill, most probably by next month, I will also received mine.

I'm getting excited. Sorry if I asked too many questions.

    Good luck to you.

Wow thats great for you all, I filed mine in Feb 09 for spouse, I hold LPR and still havent heard from them, well lets wait and see as they have been faster in the past few months.

On January 13, 2010, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations

Can someone please help me with this

  5. ok - pay attention to the priority date - should be in the NOA-1 or NOA-2 document.

if/when you have an NVC casefile # - it means that NVC is ready to start processing on yer case (ie - a visa # is available)

since yer an LPR, you might want to pay attention to this topic -->> http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/205062-anyone-lpr-who-file-i-130-for-spouse/ - they can 'sort you out' much better than I can.

great info buddy but whats NOA-1 OR 2 and how or where do i check.
