  1. yes that is correct but also the Greencardholder always hast to file a change of address after a move until you are a US Citizen

    It is Form AR-11

(AR-11, Alien's Change of Address Card

This card is to be used by all aliens to report a change of address within ten days of such change. The collection of this information is required by Section 265 of the Immigration and Nationality Act (8 U.S.C. 1305). The data isused by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services for statistical and record purposes and may be furnished to Federal, State, localand foreign law enforcement officials. Failure to report a change of address is punishable by fine or imprisonment and/or removal.)

most Alien's don't do it but especially having a pending petition AOS, removal of conditions etc. it would be smart to do it LOL

  2. Mammimaus2007 congratulations for the interview date  I had the same problem like you with the address: on DS-230 part 2 you will put the new address in the States and when they ask you which one will be the address USCIS will send you the Green Card you just tell them the new address and they will delete the address on DS-230 part 1.

  4. If you have a Sofa Stamp you are able to. My husband is a Civilian Employee and has a Sofa Stamp and we where able to file DCF

good thing is if you are Active Duty you will get all of your Fee's back from uncle Sam

not only active duties can get the fees back, my husband is civilian for the army, like yours, and my visa fees were included in the PCS reimbursement.....so I already got my money back from uncle Sam...plus the plan ticket :D

  5. Hello,

Just curious, any of yall military or military dependents? If it applies, if I was TDY in germany for like 4 months, would I be able to get my hubby to the US through DCF in Frankfurt using my orders? It seems so much quicker to process a greencard through the embassy than stateside. Im really impressed at the time frames here.

Question is you still are in Germany in TDY or you gone already? In order to do DCF you have to reside in the foreign country......Do you have a SOFA stamp for Germany? Please call USCIS Frankfurt 06975352233 maybe you are allowed to file there.

    Good luck to you
