  1. Nice! LBC is reliable, just slow
  2. Oh yeah, VAC for sure lol
  3. I’m thinking we might drop off at the NVC like the pink slip suggests vs mailing like the email suggested. Likely safer. Thoughts?
  4. Thanks all! We did get an email later that same day stating they submitted the medical electronically, THAT WAS FAST! Here's what it said, hope this helps someone else.
  5. Hey VJ! Here's a new one... I couldn't find any threads on this since the medical/interview process has changed (that you still attend your interview without medical clearance). Background: My in-laws had to take the 8 week sputum culture, and my father-in-law was positive and is undergoing treatment. They still attended their visa interview and were issued 221(g)'s pending medical clearance. We just received email notification that my mother-in-law's sputum culture was negative. It's our understanding that within a week SLEC will electronically forward medical clearance to the embassy. Most estimates I could find online have the embassy issuing a visa within 4 weeks, but I couldn't find anything solid on this. I'd assume her medical would expire in June if we go by when she started the process, or does expiry start AFTER they issue the clearance. It looks to me that most people in this situation are given a 3-month validity, so I'd assume we have a few months at least? Does anyone know when we should drop off the passport at the NVC along with the document submission form? Has anyone been through this, and have a timeline for visa issuance? Thanks!
  6. FYI, but this^ has been removed from that page. We're going through this right now in Manila. Apparently, the recommendation now is to attend your original interview date, and you'll get a refusal letter with instructions on how to get the embassy the medical information required, which at that point they'll issue the visa. I find that in Philippines you can't rely on any third party such as SLEC to be up-to-date on processes.
  7. Thanks for the comments all. I figured out what the problem was!!!! We didn’t see a small part of the instructions that said, essentially, to NOT select our visa category, and instead, select “interview scheduled by NVC” or something like that. So basically we were trying to schedule the wrong appointment type lol! Once we selected the correct type after canceling and redoing the application, everything worked and we got the barcode confirmation. This is really the fault of them trying to use a visa interview scheduling system for fingerprinting. Hope this helps someone else.
  8. Did you ever get it to work? The site is broken for sure.
  9. Has anyone sucessfully scheduled a VAC fingerprinting appointment at https://www.usvisascheduling.com/en-US/? We've been trying since Thanksgiving and each time we take a slot for my wife's mamma, within a few hours the appointment is removed. I have almost 10 screenshots of my confirmations in the Portal as record, but non of them seem to "stick" and I can't figure out why. I guess we're required to have the VAC before our interview on the 16th, but it's not looking like that's possible.... Oddly, we were able to get an appointment to stick for her papa on the 13th, but i'm not sure her mamma is allowed to use that same appointment considering we were not able to add her as a dependent on the application because the system flags duplicate accounts and you can't delete accounts.... Any advice? Thanks!
  10. Oh, thanks guys. The instructions must not have been updated then because it told us to get both lol
  11. Hello VJ! Does anyone know the current process to get an NBI clearance for travel to the US? Is this something that you're supposed to make a regular multi-purpose appointment for and then ask for verbally for travel to US purposes? On the NBI website we don't see this an an option, no matter what we select the receipt says "multi-purpose." My wife's parents already have the multi-purpose one, so we're trying to get another more recent one with the correct verbiage/color or whatever is needed. I keep finding conflicting information. Thank you!
  12. Okay, I guess this is solved(ish). The system says "No Slot Available" though! You just can't win every time LOL!
  13. WTH now it took the case number
  14. Update. I used the visa email here: support-philippines@usvisascheduling.com https://ustraveldocs.com/ph/en/contact-us#email This was the response that I got within the usvisascheding.com website: Dear Applicant, Thank you for reaching out to the American Citizen Service Desk. We recognize your concerns about your US Visa Application. Please note that you have contacted the American Citizen Service Desk; for assistance, kindly reach out to the US Visa Service Desk at https://ustraveldocs.com/ph/en/contact-us Wishing you a great day! Sincerely, American Citizen Service Desk. Maybe the instructions where wrong on the website and this was the wrong website to register for the VAC appointment but I couldn't find any other options.
  15. Yeah it starts with MNL but the website calls the step NVC/KCC.
