  1. I found this site http://www.path2usa.com/visitor-visa-guide/documents-for-sponsor which talks about all the documents needed to Sponsor a Visitor Visa for family members.

I feel a little funny sending all my financials to my wife's parents when I don't even show my own parents this information. Has anyone sponsored their spouse's parents a visitor visa? Should her parents be able to get a visa without all of the financial information?

    Thanks!

  2. We did get married in time, but now waiting on the Civil Surgeon before sending in the AOS package. (Waiting to see whether to get the Rubella shot or not)

We are really close to the visa expiration...Is there someone we should contact in the government or just send in the package as soon as we can after getting the CS to finish things up?

    Thanks!

  3. Speaking of driving...Can someone with a driver's license from China legally drive in the US?

I did go by the DMV only to be told you can't get a license in Texas until you have at least a one year Visa. I hate to have to wait until the green card stuff comes through for her to drive.

I tried to call my insurance to see if they can insure her...no response back from them.

I think I've shared it properly - let me know if you can't see it.

No one used the GUZ P3 shortcut at http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/GUZ_P3_Shortcut but I could be wrong.

    ALL were adjudicated at VSC.

    Good Luck to ALL !

    GoGoGadget PinkALicious !

yes, i wanted to do the shortcut, but it took so long to get the packet 3 sent, that she was out of town during that time.

    Best of luck everyone!

  5. Form DS-156.

Question 38. Have you ever been refused admission to the US, or....

My fiancee did get refused on a student visa last year. Is that the same as being refused admission or is that just at a port of entry?

I've asked before, but Question 31. Have you ever been refused a U.S. Visa? I think we have to put yes here and put in her student visa...I was told this shouldn't affect the K-1, but it looks like a question they could give us flak about.

    Thanks

  6. Any ideas how we should answer the two questions?

Question 38. Have you ever been refused admission to the US, or....

Do we put true here since she was refused a visa or is this only for port of entry refusals?

Question 31. Have you ever been refused a U.S. Visa? I am thinking this is a yes.

  8. I found at least 5 of us with Packet 3 returned, but have been waiting up to 20 days on the interview date to be scheduled.

I guess the scheduler is on vacation. I wasn't too upset knowing that it could be a long time between NOA2 and Packet3, but I guess we should expect it to get stuck at every step.

  9. I am going to try use some unpaid leave if work will let me. I've actually been to see her 8 days late last year and 12 days in Feb (only 8 of which were work days). I don't think I have any red flags, but I am still hoping for one trip in May or June and one again for the interview.

xiè xie for your thoughts! :)

  10. So I've already used up 8 days vacation on visiting my fiance. Since most of us are in the same boat with only limited vacation, if I end up having to chose, is it better to visit between NOA2 or go when the interview is scheduled so she can take in my passport to the interview? I know it is better to have as many visits and days physically together as possible, but I might not have that choice.

    Thanks.

  11. I am very early in my process, but I am already a tiny bit nervous about the interview after reading lots of posts the last few weeks.

Just thought I would ask if my potential red flag(s) would be something we can’t overcome.

A little of my story: We met via the internet in September 2009, after I got back from being in BJ for 2 months. We met in person for 8 days in December 2009. Then went on a trip together for 12 days in February. Both trips I stayed a few nights with her and her parents at the parents apartment. She also has her own apartment. I am planning on going back for 9 days in May or June and again for the interview. I feel like I put a little extra in my 129F packet but maybe not an overwhelming amount like some of the posts I read after sending recommended. I was divorced 6 years ago and my fiancée was divorced 1½. I’m 43, 10 year age difference. Her degree is in English so she speaks very well.

My only red flag I am aware of (if there are others let me know) is that she was denied a US student Visa twice, once November and again in December 2009 (after the university setup another interview for her). She was already thinking of getting her MBA before we started communicating, because her brother got a MBA in Japan and has become really successful, so this was something she would like to also, sort of a new family tradition. The Embassy denied her because she had too good of a job and she didn’t need a MBA.

Thanks for any insight into what I should do to get ready for the coming packages.
