  1. I've never heard of that. I am putting "RE: Form I-751 JOINT PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF STATUS, on NAME (A-NUMBER)" in my cover letter but otherwise just the address details they recommended.
  2. Definitely don't staple it! Here are the instructions from USCIS. Most folks here either use bulldog clips, which can easily taken off, or 2 inch hole punch binders. USCIS scan the entire package on its arrival, so you don't want to make it harder for them. And print everything single sided. We bought printer paper that was already 2 inch hole punched to save a step. For lockbox address it depends where you're filing from and then also how you are sending it - i.e. there's one address for filing via USPS and another for couriers (like UPS/Fedex). This page has all the addresses based on what state you're from.
  3. You will also want to include form G1145 so that you can get e-notification of receipt.
  4. It's very service center dependent in terms of whether filing for citizenship speeds things up or slows them down. Anecdotally looking at timelines on VJ it looks like for the Potomac Center it speeds things up, so I'm planning to file for citizenship as soon as I'm eligible.
  5. It's very surreal seeing all these usernames from AOS 3 years ago - hope you have a speedy case processing!
  6. Thanks - it's helpful if you click the timeline link under your profile as it will help others see average processing times etc.
  7. That's a really good theory and one I haven't read anywhere else before!
  8. Congratulations! Could you fill your Timeline out please? It's really helpful for other filers, particularly those going through the Potomac waiting party. Thank you!
  9. Yup I'm writing my cover letter from my perspective (conditional green card holder) but I don't think it matters as long as you're clear and fill the I-751 out right.
  10. Your post is a little confusing. Has she filed I-751 and that is what the I-797 references? I believe folks also receive notice that their conditional status is expiring once they get close to the original green card expiry date, but you have to actually file I-751 to receive the extension letter. Updating your timeline will also help people more effectively assist you.
  11. I wouldn't worry - the address is the same, you're clearly cohabiting. They're looking for evidence of a shared life, not worried who is paying for Netflix
  12. I’ll be in the same boat in approximately one month. I’m hoping we might also benefit from a magical one month approval 😆
  13. Posting the criteria (which includes living together and your spouse's status) - "You are required to have been married to and living with your spouse for the past 3 years and your spouse is required to have been a U.S. citizen for the past 3 years."
  14. For reference here's my packet (from my table of contents): 1) Immigration/Identification Documents a. Copy of Permanent Resident Card b. Copy of Marriage Certificate (people say you don't need to include it but meh) c. Copy of Drivers Licenses 2) Tax Return Transcripts & Leases a. Tax Return Transcripts – Married Filing Jointly (2020 & 2021) b. Joint leases (2018 – Present) 3) Bank Statements and Beneficiary of Retirement/Investment Accounts: a. Bank Statements - Joint Checking and Savings Accounts (2020-2022) b. Bank Statements of Joint Credit Card (2020-2022) c. Beneficiary Statements of Life Insurance Accounts Retirement/Investment 4) Utility Bills & Car/Rental Insurance a. Internet and Electricity Bill Statements b. Car and Rental Insurance Documents 5) Photographs I read mixed reports on whether to only include evidence from your GC approval or whole marriage, and decided to go whole marriage.
  15. Looks good to me. I would maybe put the grant/mortgage stuff more up front (maybe before the bank accounts?). I know they presumably read it all, but that's "strong" evidence so maybe good to have it up front? Otherwise your package looks like ours. Only thing I didn't see is driving licenses showing your joint address? I assume you're including a cover letter and the G1145 for e-notification and your $680 check?
  16. It's certainly possible - my guess is that this is more about this year's fiscal stats. i.e. there's a desire to see this fiscal year's stats come down since introducing the risk based approach - USCIS can then compare this/last year and advocate for more measures to reduce processing times. I'm just hoping I'll be one of the lucky/speedy ones as Potomac is notoriously slow!
  17. I also wonder if this is down to the fact this case was extensively processed overseas then at NVC? i.e. tons of due diligence had already happened?
  18. I left sections of my I-485 blank (interpreter etc.) and plan to leave the children section of I-751 blank.
  19. Argh. Great. And here I thought things were getting easier!
  20. I had thought N400 was comparatively a lot simpler/shorter than I-751 in terms of evidence required?
