  1. Hi Thomas - are you saying any trends of faster approval for cases in 2022 submitted post-April?
  2. This. Also purchased printer paper that thad the ACCO holes punched at the top to save a step.
  3. I'm having a hard time understanding your timeline as it looks like you filed for citizenship before I-751? I saw your timeline for removing conditions as approved? But it looks like you only submitted I-751 in July of 2022 - getting it approved in January would be unheard of at Potomac!
  4. Very sorry to hear that. Was it just the credit card that was the problem? I'm a bit confused looking at your Timeline as it only shows IR-1/CR-1 information. Were you definitely within the 90-day window?
  5. Agreed - this just took me 45 minutes (mainly because Word is a horrible piece of software).
  6. Just stumbled upon this which seems pretty comprehensive - https://www.uscis.gov/newsroom/alerts/recommendations-for-paper-filings-to-avoid-scanning-delays
  7. Yeah I interpret that as "don't send us a CD-ROM or a leather binder". I was going to include mine in the snapfish orange folder, and if they trash them, fine - they cost $2 to print.
  8. When providing photos or other attachments, please provide your name and A-Number (if any) at the top of the page or on the back of any photos. If you send original photos with your form, they may become part of the record or be destroyed. From here
  9. I read very mixed reports on this, so went for whole of marriage, not solely since start of GC. For the tax transcripts you want the top left documents from the screenshot you posted - labelled "Return Transcript". If you search this forum, a lot of this information (such as people's document lists) has been shared before.
  10. Thanks. I'll definitely do that before my extension letter expires. Sadly DC only give you drivers license that is tied to immigration docs, so my current one expires when my 2 year greencard does, so I'll have to renew for the third time in 3 years once I get the extension letter.
  11. Why is this beneficial? My understanding is that as long as I have an I-797 this shouldn't matter?
  12. Usually that's a good sign! I've also read of officers not realizing people have pending I-751's so it may be worth her asking at the beginning if it's a combo interview - fingers crossed for a speedy approval!
  13. Nope. This just happens. At USCIS the right hand often doesn’t know what the left is doing.
  14. The transcript is what was received by the IRS so is typically considered more “official” than the 1040. If you search the forum for “tax transcript” you will see discussion of this. It’s free so there’s really no reason not to send it.
  15. @Caitlin Kennedy Yes - you are missing the tax transcript which I linked to above.
  16. From a few other threads, it sounds like that means you need to show up for the appointment, as appointment letters supercede online status.
  17. How does it work in terms of uploading all of your evidence etc. if you file online vs mailing in your package?
  18. This is where you go to get a tax transcript - that is what you want to submit, not your actual tax filing form.
  19. It's up to you, but a lot of folks have told me not to include passport biographic page/birth certificates as all of that would have been ascertained prior to the original green card (i.e. your identities/citizenship). One of the forum regulars asked the question of "what story are you trying to tell with each piece of evidence in your packet?" and if you feel good about all of the evidence and how it will be interpreted I think you're good to go. I decided not to include much "wedding" stuff at all as we've been legally married for 2+ years, despite only having our wedding celebration/ceremony last year. So I'm only including wedding photos and nothing with the dates on it as I feel it might be confusing for them (who knows if they care/understand getting married in the times of COVID). For your taxes - make sure you include the tax transcript from the IRS website, not just a copy of the filing form, as it is viewed as more "official". I'm not sure of the purpose of the promotion letter/business card? I'd also maybe rename the honeymoon trip section to just be "future trip together" as again, you don't want them to be confused by when you got married etc. Your cover letter looks good - you may want to include your husband's alien number as well, and I'd update the date to the date that you plan to mail your packet so that some paper pusher doesn't accidentally reject it for filing too early.
  20. My application will be joining you there shortly! Good to see you again!
  21. Just got my "reminder to remove conditions" letter from USCIS - looks like they didn't bother actually applying my change of address request to my file and so as a result USPS returned it, and they sent it back out to me at the address that USPS said "return to sender" at. It was stamped "action completed approved for filing" at the bottom on the tearaway slip, instead of the usual "include this with your application for faster processing". Hopefully when I file my I-751 they use that address instead of my old one...
