Im leaving next week, Sept 2 and be back on Sept. 10. Prior to interview already bought my ticket and wife and son already had their reservation. I was really hoping that no glitch will happen during the interview otherwise plans will have to change, but praise be god everthing went smothly as plan.

Same here we dont usually used emails coz of SKYPE, but recently last May we started sending out emails and archiving our chat messages just for the purpose of showing them something if they ask for one.

It's still not late, i suggest you do the same.

Wife said the whole process was just a breeze, by 6:30 she was inside the USEM and by 8:30 she's back in the hotel.

Pre-screener only ask for photos and emails, and CO only ask 2 questions...my DOB and line of work and thats it.

It's been a 3+ yr journey for my family and finally it's almost over, and my sincere thanks to you ladies Mitch, Kathleen

and all my VJ family for the prayers and support. And for all those still in the process...just hang in there, keep the faith and all will be well.

Yes, check with your tax preparer..for sure kabalo sya ana.

You need both forms 1040 and W2 when filing your tax.

ok lang mitch..cramming for my wife's interview coming up this week. About your RFE, did you send them copy of your 1040-EZ? Thats what i told you before, you must send them both W2 and 104EZ.

Just a heads up.. Even if you're married, bring a copy of a Certificate of No Marriage (CENOMAR) on your interview.

mumof2, it's unlikely that the trend will carry on to October and November bulletins. September marks the end of the fiscal year 2010, whereas historically the cut-off date jumps tend to slow down at the beginning of a new FY. If you jump a category to F1, your PD will be current at once. You should probably contact the agency that has your case for that (either USCIS or NVC if your mother's petition was approved and forwarded there).

You can probably still include your children in DS-230.

Your got your information wrong, being an F1 category doesnt mean your PD will be current.

Waiting time period for F1 even gets longer.

HELP please. am new here. this is my case:

Mom applied F2B last 2004, I was 26yo then. She became USC 2007 or 2008. I didn't know anything about automatic conversion of visa category until last year. I asked her if we should inform the embassy but said not until my PD is about to be current. Sep 2008 I bore a child and after 8mos was pregnant again for my second child (born January 2010). Am still not married. Per September bulletin, it will only be about 2 more months before my PD is up (if the trend stays that way - 1year per month).

Questions: 1) Am I late to inform them that I want to retain my old category? 2) What should I include in the letter? 3) How will I update them that I now have 2 sons that I wish to be included in my paper? 3) Can I bring my sons with me? CSPA may not be applicable as I was 26yo when my mom applied.

Appreciate if anybody can give me complete or detailed steps to take. Thank you very much.

I think your mom just messed up your case. When she became a USC your VISA catergory automatically change from F2B (daughter/son of unmarried LPR) to F1 daughter/son of unmarried USC).And the bad news is you have to wait a bit more longer. If you check the September 2010 VISA bulletin, for F1 category they are currently processing a PD of 1997, meaning you got 8+ yrs more to go.

Sending them letter wont help in retaining your previous category either; and about your sons advise your petitioner to send a letter to NVC and have them included in your petition as your derivative beneficiary.

Hi Raymon! The interview went very well. Just a tip for those who are going to be interviewed, bring all your documents, even if you already submitted it at the NVC. I won't post my interview experience, 'cause it is so similar to the ones that were already posted here. Tell your spouse to just relax and enjoy the experience Good luck on your journey too! By the way, I was approved!

HI VJ FAM! YESTERDAY WAS OUR VISA INTERVIEW AND EVERYTHING WENT WELL AND GOT APPROVED!!!

I WANT TO SHARE OUR EXPERIENCE VERY BRIEFLY COZ EVERYTHING WENT BY SOOOOOO FAST =) NO HASSLES!!!

WE ARRIVED AT THE USEM AS AROUND 6 AM SINCE OUR SCHEDULE IS 7 AM AND BY THE TIME THAT WE ARRIVED WE WE'RE ASKED TO GO INSIDE AND SCANNED OUR THINGS. I AM WITH MY DAUGHTER AND MOTHER SINCE I HAVE A 3 YR.OLD BABY AND PREGNANT MY MAMA WAS ALLOWED TO GO INSIDE AS WELL.

AT 6:15, WE WE'RE ASKED TO FALL IN LINE TO A BOOTH AND HAVE OUR DS230 PREPARED, 3 2X2 PHOTOS AND APPOINTMENT LETTER AND AFTER THAT THEY GAVE US A NUMBER AND THEY LET US SIT BY THIS TIME.

AND AT 6:40, THEY CALLED OUR NO. FOR THE FINGER SCANNING. NO FINGER SCANNING FOR CHILDREN.

AND EXACTLY 7 AM, MY NO.WAS CALLED AT WINDOW 24, A VERY NICE FILIPINA LADY WAS SEATED AND STARTED THE QUESTIONING.

- WHAT IS YOUR FULL NAME?

- WHEN IS YOUR BDAY?

- WHAT IS YOUR DAUGHTER'S NAME?

- BIRTHDATE

- PETITIONER'S NAME

- BIRTHDATE

- HOW,WHEN AND WHERE DID YOU AND YOUR HUSBAND MEET?

- WHAT YEAR DID YOU GET MARRIED?

- AND THEN SHE ASKED FOR PICS,REMMITTANCES AND EMAIL/LETTERS.

AND AFTER THAT, SHE SAID THAT WE HAVE TO SIT DOWN AGAIN AND WAIT FOR OUR NO. TO BE CALLED FOR THE FINAL INTERVIEW.

AT 8 AM, WINDOWS FROM THE CO ROOMS ARE NOW OPEN. AND 5 MINS LATER WE WERE CALLED AT ROOM 37(IM GUESSING ON THIS) NAKALIMUTAN KO NA UNG ROOM NO.

WE ENTERED THE ROOM AND AN AMERICAN, TALL, WHITE AND BALD GUY GREETED US GOODMORNING =)

HE ASKED FOR MY NAME,BDATE,DAUGHTER'S NAME,BDATE,PETITIONER'S NAME AND BDATE. AFTER ANSWERING, HE MADE US RAISE OUR RIGHT HAND INCLUDING MY MOM AND MADE US SWEAR THAT ALL THAT WAS WRITTEN IN DS230 WE'RE ALL TRUE AND MADE ME SIGN THE 2ND PART.

AND HE JUST ASKED WHATS THE WORK OF MY HUSBAND AND WHEN IS THE LAST TIME THAT HE VISITED US. AND ASKED HOW WAS OUR ROADTRIP FROM TARLAC. HE ALSO ASKED ME ON WHERE DO I WANT TO GIVE BIRTH AND I SAID THAT I WOULD LIKE TO DELIVER MY BABY HERE IN THE PHILIPPINES AND HE SAID THAT VISAS HAVE TIME VALIDITY AND I SAID AS SOON AS WE GET THE PASSPORT FOR MY NEWBORN WE WILL FLY TO THE US. AND HE SAID OK, I DONT SEE ANY PROBLEM WHY I CANT APPROVE YOUR VISA. SO CONGRATULATIONS YOUR VISA IS APPROVED AND WELCOME TO THE USA. HAVE A SAFE DELIVERY! AND WE SAID THANK YOU! HE ASKED US TO SIT AND WAIT FOR OUR NAMES TO BE CALLED FOR THE FINAL INSTRUCTIONS.

NOW WE HAVE TO WAIT FOR ABOUT AN HOUR, AND FINALLY WE WERE CALLED AT WINDOW Y AND GAVE ME THE PINK SLIP AND FILLED UP THE DELIVERY FORM FOR AIR21 AND PAID 270 EACH FOR ME AND MY DAUGHTER. AND FINALLY WERE DONE

WE WERE OUT OF THE EMBASSY AT EXACTLY 9:45.

AND TO ALL WHO ARE GOING TO HAVE YOUR INTERVIEW, DONT GET SO STRESSED COZ ITS LIKE A PREPARATORY EXAM. NO SWEAT AT ALL =)

my brother in law is an LPR and he wants to petition his wife and 6-month-old son.my question are the following..

1.does he need to fill up separate I130?

2.do the child have to fill up G325a? i asked this because when we fill it up it's mostly Not Applicable..and if ever he will..who's going to sign it for him?the mom or the dad?

3.is it okay if we send it on the same envelope?or do we have to separate it with separate cheques?

Hey vj friends well i got the worst news anyone can ever say my husband didnt get the visa a refusal letter was giving to him i was shocked and absouletly upset.. I been crying for 2 days striaght.. He was refusad on section 221 (g) meaning they need more information its all becuse he is muslim and my country is an L country basically that means terriost country.. I know for a fact his name is in the data base his name is very common name mohammad.. Its just so upseting cuz my husband has never even been arrested.. He did sign the ds230 and they took his marriage cert his police report and his family trace documents and 2 photos.. They told him that they will call him within 10 weeks if he doesnt hear anything to email them.. Im leaving in 3 weeks.. So im going back without my husband.... I guess its just not meant to be. I will be going back until i take my citizenship and coming back to leb to live...

Hey Lebanese girl...dont be upset, it's what they called administraive pending review (AP), It's an SOP to further review a case, in your case they are checking your husband's name since is so common among the arab countries. Just keep on calling them, i know in the end you will be both re-united.

just want to share that our court order for my stepson is finally done! we'll get it today and will go straight to DFA for his passport so i can finish all these up. people who filled later than me are already waiting for their interview appt..... im still crossing my fingers that they will make it here this christmas.... what do you thing raymon?

My husband called NVC 30 miutes ago and our case was completed july 26..3 days after they received my DS230..thank you Lord!

My husband sent in his parent's DS-230 packet and the Affidavit of Support. The phone system states that they received everything on 7/14 and to allow for 6-8 weeks for processing. Is there any more information we can get from NVC, or do we now just have to wait it out?

Call NVC in a week or two, by then your case will be completed.

As in...hehehehe am excited napud.. but it would still be more than 2 months to go before ko makauli pohon.. ive got my round trip ticket and still trying to look for their one way ticket.. ive been in contact with the Southwinds, they have a promo of a first time immigrants to CRP and its bout 800+... so still looking around.. i hope too that we will have a second one , and its gonna be a bonus if its a boy.. but anyway bottomline bisan unsa basta normal and healthy ang baby ug ang mommy plud the daddy..
